basically that he lied about doing 4 years in prison, he did a couple months in county, he was never a kingpin of car theft ring (shocking), only got busted for having a .22 and was once in a stolen car. They did a thorough background check with the FBI and reveals all of his criminal records, nothing close to what he's claimed.
Most if not all artist pump it up to something it's not. It's their way to get people to listen. Probably even coached by the label, or manager. This is why: People today are so fuckin' hungry to see how real an artist is, they enquire his / her street cred. I personally think it's full of shit...jail / prison are things you shouldn't be proud of and letting everybody know.
Street Cred? Is just another way to incriminate yourself and letting your Homies know (for the sence of respect), only allows them to rat you out when they get caught for a petty crime. They'll be the first to turn bitch and plea bargin.
It's this kind of ignorant thinking that allows certain artist to laugh their ass straight to the bank.

my only question is, when will the people figure out that music is only a 2nd cousin to movies and acting? well written scripts get Oscars. well written albums get grammys. no difference.
