dude you are just going thru a phase in life because you are forced to. once, you get your shit back on track you will go back to being like deepeastbeast aand the rest of the materilistic people in this world.

your like that chick in that movie ATL. TI girlfriend, who looks and acts ghetto, but she actually fugazi bout her shit and actually rich, but doesn't want to admit it. she cant accept her true identity.

it is what it is, the fact that you cant handle a 2,000 dollar gambling debt, makes me wonder if you can handle a 500k house loan. that is a gamble unto itself.

something about you jsut does not add up.

i hope you do get your shit together, cuz this world is a cold-hearted bitch with a fist grasping peoples hearts and slowly squeezing every ounce of soul from them like squeezing water from a rock.

all you gotta do is look what happened to the stock market on thrusday and see how fucked up things are. you got companys being worth $40 a share, dropping all of a sudden to a penny a share, and then shooting back up to $40 a share. its a fuckin cold hearted game out there, man.

I understand what you all are saying. My folks bought their house in 1996 for a little over 500k. They put about another 200k into (my grandmother also lives there and renovated the barn/granny unit on the property). Now they property is worth about 1.5 mill and before the housing crash it was worth a little over 2 mill. Thats an asset if you ask me and a good investment.
What it's appraised at and what people will actually pay for it are two different things. The 'worth' is what people are actually willing to pay for, good luck finding a buyer for a 'valued' 1.5 mil home in these times.

The Siccness. The good ole Siccness. Always quick to make assumptions. I really enjoy reading your replies. It makes my day. I'm not doing this by force, it's just choice. $2000 debt? My friend that was 2 years ago and that has been cleared. Cable? What's good to watch on TV? Bullshit reality TV shows? Unoriginal music videos? Pathetic sitcoms? When I did have cable all I would watch was ESPN, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel and etc. Internet? I've been living without that shit for the past 2 years. I don't need it. It's not a necessity when I can use it at work.

And like I mentioned before. I am only doing this for the rest of the 2010 year. I think it's challenging. But go ahead and make your assumptions because I could give 2 fucks what ya'll think. I'mma do what I do and go hard on my 125cc scooter. Watch out.

Pictures of my GF? Come on. I know better not to post any pictures of myself or my gf on this site.

Have a good day mates!!!

Just remember to enjoy life, dont cut back to the point where you are missing out on living. What if you died 6 months from now and you just spent the last 6 months eating ramen, and not doing anyhting as far as entertainment becuase you are saving money?

Also there is a lot of misinformation on this thread about investments and buying home etc. Even financial experts argue about whether a home is the best investment. It is possible to rent for life, and invest the difference between rent and a mortgage payment and come out ahead in the long run. Others disagree because the avergae joe is not disciplined enough to do this successfully and for them owning a house is the best way to go since you are forced to pay your mortgage.

Just do you mane, but dont be one of those cheap fucks wearing old clothes with holes in them and always being the one dude that doesnt have money to do shit when out with friends. YOu know the one, that friend that orders water at a restaurant...

oh...you meant the completely broke fucks.

the ones that go to mexican restaurants and order a water and just eat chips n' sauce. the ones that hit up the olive garden and order a water just to sit there and eat up all the free salad and breadsticks. the ones that order just a water and wait til you get down to the crust at the pizza joint.

i hear ya dawg.

Don't even trip. I'm living frugal, but I am far from cheap. I still take vacations and I still bring the drank and food to BBQs. I got some change in my pocket to spend while enjoying life. I just love how people love to make assumptions because I'm not living their current lifestyle. And I think it's funny how they think my current lifestyle will be permanant.

Gotta get that down payment man! Fuck 0% financing. Just because the market is good to purchase a home doesn't mean it's a good idea for everyone to go out and buy a house. If the funds ain't right then it's not wise to purchase.

I cut my iPhone before my contract was up and they didn't charge me anything for downgrading.

To the poster, good shit...but you don't need to give all that up. Those are just basic needs in today's world. lol. What do you do at home?

He has in house pussy. I would at least have internet. That way, you can still enjoy TV shows, sports, movies, youtube, and Xbox Live.

Food, pussy, sports, video games and money in your pocket = The good life.

If every American lived within their means, we wouldnt have the problems we have today but thats how it is in America. Everybody wants the newest and best shit to show off to make yourselves feel good but at the end you lose because of all the debt you built up.

I had in-house pussy up until last weekend. It's nice and all, but what does he do when his chick drives him nuts? lol.
