no one cares about mma
MMA fights are no where near as large as a big boxing event.
Having gone to both, I see what you are saying.

I've been to UFC cards where everyone swears its the biggest deal. When you are at a major boxing event, the entire atmosphere is different and the entire civilized world really is paying attention.

When a UFC fight comes to Vegas, rooms are plenty, no closed circuits, and it's just another night in Vegas. When a big boxing match is in town, all of Vegas turns their attention to that fight for the entire weekend. It's something else...

ur right hes needs that ko mind set... i am sure hes gunna try and ko this next dude..cuz i think hes knos hes gotta come with heat or else hbo wont put you on..
yeah, most def. HBO is changing the way they spend their money now, that's for sure. They're willing to put a dude on for less money that has a good record that people don't know about whereas before they were really trying to get the biggest names. I honestly wondered if maybe his wife being sick that 2nd time maybe took that killer instinct out of him a little bit. I can't fault him at all if it did but hopefully it didn't. Either way, I'm still pulling for him and hope he does well

I was messing around cause this was actually a thread about boxing and dudes started posting stuff up about MMA. I know quite a bit about it but I just don't really care for it and it doesn't excite me at all.

I have friends that love boxing and MMA. Even the ones that don't really follow boxing seem a lot more excited on a big boxing weekend than anything MMA has to offer which is interesting to me. They won't even know the names of the dudes fighting but they'll be yelling at the tv and stuff and be all pumped out. Pretty crazy.

Met a lot of folks, but the one that I remember most is Bob Arum at a presser. Got to chop it up with him for a couple of minutes. Legend.

pacquiao / morales 3 live
Category: Sports
i was there for the preliminary's and fools were chanting for manny all night!!! they only show 3 fights on air but theres more like 6 or more?

the dude next to me had binoculars and pointed out the stars i saw winky wright posing for pictures and signing autographs down below. saw larry merchant, micheal buffer chillen by the ring and that other announcer forgot his name and emanuel stewart. i saw de la hoya too shaking hands.

pinoys were DEEP in that mutherfucker so was the ones from - like me. it was mostly 20 and 30 year olds in there with some old folks. filipino's and mexicans were showing their flags at eachother and talking shit fucking around.

it was the 2nd biggest event the thomas and mack center ever had for any event. it was over 18,000 people.

that 3 rounds went by so fast it was all a blur to me. all i remember was the first round and the knockdown in the second and everybody jumping up and the third round i knew morales was in trouble. everytime they exchanged morales would back up then fight back but manny stood right in the line of fire ducking and throwing right back.

i seen morales fall back a couple times and he went down again everyone went crazy the whole place was surrounded with philippine flags. i threw mine up and was yelling, "DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!" GO MANNYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

sure enough he went down again everybody jumped up and screamed and when the ref waved it off we all started screaming again.

SOME SORE LOSERS started throwing beer everywhere on everybody some got on us and people around us. when we walked up the isle to go into the hallway it was full of beer spilled all over the floor!

we met up with the homies in the hallway and some filipinos from another hood that know us were posted up to start shit. some mexican dude waved his flag at them and was say'n something and everywone moved on him. i did'nt see what he did or hear what he said but he tried to walk away or something some people passing by blocked my view.

a fight broke out in the bathroom all i heard was a LOUD BOOM! and everyone looking. i was'nt paying attention i just got a couple shirts before everyone else came to get them.

we boned out and this flip from san jose was ghost riding on top of this dodge or pontiac.

he had the filipino flag that said "ba hala na pacquiao" thats a gang that started in the philippines. "ba hala na" means "whatever happens happens" in other words "fuck it!"

he stood on the roof the whole time no one could get out the parking lot they bumped some mac dre, e-40, big rich.

some other car was bumping mitchy slick.

everyone taking pictues of that dude on his car.

i got some footage with my digital camera but all the knockdowns i either missed (in the 2nd) or was locked from zooming in so you can't see nothing.

my camera was trippen too cause of the lighting and it was pausing too much i was in the momment so i did'nt have time to prepare.

anyway it was a good night for all pinoys and pinays. the mexicans were cool fucking around after the fight not being too serious. waving their flags but it was'nt shit.

while we got out the parking lot some mexican was yelling "BARERA BARERA" and some big flip walking with his group yelled out "BARERA GOT KNOCKED OUT BY PACQUIAO!"

i just laughed cause the mexicans sending all their great fighters to end pacquiao but none of them previaled.

that dude is on another level right now and he's a good person so i say he deserves everything he's accomplished!

this mexican dude was even holding up my flag and throwing a thumbs down for morales but he was just fucking around i know we got pacquiao fans from mexico too but i think he was just happy to be there to enjoy the fight i thought it was my brother holding my flag but i looked and laughed.

we had good people surrounding us but the beer that flew in the air got on everybody. i brushed it off cause we weren't the only ones. my brothers homie said he seen it flying everywhere when morales got dropped for the 3rd time.

i was in the momment and was like "fuck that shit! pacquaio fucked his ass up!"

we were just celebrating. my nerves were just fried after all that butterflys before the fight yelling and screaming.
