Just to get back on topic I think the question you asked threadstarter is valid.
But I think a better question would be how do you feel about listening to musicians on drugs. Because artists in other genres do drugs also. When I hear rappers I listen to use hard drugs that I consider dope fiend drugs it lightweight surprised me. Some I still listen to but I can't listen to somebody who seems like a dope fiend to me. I don't respect that dope fiend behavior.

i know what your tryena say taz.. i guess the way i look at it is most artists are grown past their 20's somewhere in the early to late 30's. alot of them have grown up and i doubt they go that far too often. as far as coke i know they smoke alot of weed. coke is like a recreational thing if it's around you might do a few lines. smoke some weed with it and have a good time.

i bet thats what most rap stars would be doin.

as for mac dre or whatever. i don't know cause i don't listen to him he coulda been thizz crazy or whatever but he did'nt live long enough to leave it alone.

a good example of what your talk'n about is TOO SHORT. he used to smoke crack and found a way out and rapped about something positve. gave music to average everyday people that earn an honest living to the hustlers. any way to get money. he's like do that shit. get yours..but you know what he seen what crack does to his people and his community so he would really side with just staying the fuck away from it.

you know the old rule i forgot the saying but something along the lines of don't smoke your own stash??? i totally forgot that shit. anyway it's saying don't smoke all your shit up if your selling.

if your selling dope you don't wanna get hooked on whatever your selling cause you might just get geeked and do it all and not make shit!

i know it's an old saying but the ones who do what they sell. they might dip a lil into their stash and still make money.

but his main purpose is to make money.

i know for damn sure someone selling crack won't be smoking crack at the same time. so i guess thats where that comes from.

but shit like weed, thizz, coke. you might fuck with it a lil but you wanna be pimp'n other peoples pockets and not your own..

most people do drugs because they have money, not because theyre smoking up shit they need to sell.

no one in the entertainment industry falls underneath the broke, corner dwelling bum who buys a sack with ones.

i think were talking about two different financial statuses here. rich people do drugs because they can afford it.

whats the difference between someone deciding to do drugs and buying a 500 dollar bottle of champagne? and marijuana and alcohol are drugs.

if i wanna drink codeine instead of vodka so be it...and why cant you rap about what you do...rappers dont have a agreement with the parents across the world to teach their kids right from wrong..parental advisory stickers had the right message...

well thats what the fuck i'm saying people rap to make LOTS of money.

but before they rapped they most likely sold drugs. the difference between a dealer depending on what they sell is how far they go with it. if he's making good money he can afford to be blazed all the time or thizzed out.

but you always got to start from somewhere and you got low level drug dealers and big time drug dealers.

AND when they start fucking with what they sell.

THAT DETERMINES WHO'S ACTULLY BALLIN OR JUST A LOW LEVEL DOPE FIEND making a lil bit a money!

if i buy oranges from a person in the middle of the intersection from my brand new car, regardless if i was in that position at one point in my life...

i'm no longer...so i may eat the oranges.
yknow, thats if i liked oranges to begin with. or mcdonalds hamburgers.

drugs n music go hand n hand...ray charles was a heroin addict and made some of the best music in the world......not sayin drugs improved his life but it didnt stop him from makin good music.....

drugs only ruin your life if you let them.....and no one is called a dope fien until they broke and homelless and beggin for money....when you rich its a coo thing to do cuz you can afford it......if you can handle doin all kindas a drugs and still take care of business then more power to you.......

everyone tells you its coo to smoke weed so you smoke it.....but think about how much money youve wasted on weed....if you a real smoker like i am then youve been a dope fiend for weed....dont give me that indian ancestor bullshit cuz the indians werent livin like us......they didnt smoke blunts of chronic all day.....they hit a lil bit of weed in a pipe for spiritual and medical purposes.......i can addmittedly say ive wasted 10s of thousands of dollars on weed in the 15 years ive smoked......thas a lot of money that could of went to things i dont have.....like a nice car.....or towards a house.....i could of been paid off my court fines and gotten my license bacc but nah i need to smoke weed cuz im a fuccin fien......ive done all kinds of drugs and ive never lied or hid the fact that i did them or am still doin them......but weed is the only one thas really had a huge effect on my finances and life.....

jus cuz some people beleive drugs are bad for your soul doesnt mean its true.....and even if it is i doubt your goin to hell for listening to rappers who do drugs.....
