Lil Rob does have a deal, Dido Brown has distro through Fontana/universal and whats a deal got to offer you? Some up front money that you owe back? Some money in promotion that they over charge you for and add their mark up 2? People arent getting deals cause they are trying to rap about what the next man has already rapped about and 95% of people in diego dont even leave their town...I know mitchy does cause I seen him in all kinds of spots, the old 43rd car wash to LA and all other kinds of spot. I-Rocc stay out of town fucking with other people, smigg also, Not to many other do...I feel bad that dido brown sold more records than all of the artist in Diego and local artist dont have enough common sense to try and jump on a track with him cause it would promote them more than anything they are doing on their own.

i know dido and the bonafide camp dun scooped up a gang of money off the streets with cd sales. he's got a whole lot of youngsters workin the street team gettin legit money which i respect. even out here in oceanside, theres places MY street team cant go to sell cds cuz the store owners in certain places dun had problems with his people harassing their customers and getting out of hand... or at least thats what they say.
why then, having sold more records than prolly any other independent artist in sd, is dido brown and the bonafide name still relatively unknown. it cant be because he's mexican because lil rob, lil one, lil al, and mr. shadow all have bigger names than dido. dido has songs with kokane, snoop dogg, and jayo. why doesn't anybody know him for anything but having an aggressive street team??? maybe down there in sd its different, but out here thats the only thing people really say about him.

They had a hard time selling out the trunk at best buy and best buy even wrote the distribution people threating to remove all records from all of their stores for selling in their parking lot in oceanside...You have to remember these dudes are all over, not just diego...The go all over LA, the Bay, Az, Vegas, Texas...You should travel with your street team and you could have a fun ass time with it. I can tell you this, selling in the street has got them a lot of things...Tours to Japan, many offers for deals, clothing sponsors from silver star etc etc, even a bunch of bullshitters saying they wanna invest. Helped them meet all kinds of artist and make new friends in a lot of other cities...I dont know about you but making money and eatting off what you do is better than a 9-5 and a pipe dream that most artist will never reach no matter how good they are.
