Thanks for the feedbac ya'll. Actually plain and kind of simple and to the point was what I was goin' for, cuz I don't feel all the real flamboyant covers. But that's just me. But some of the most successful albums have had plain covers (I'm not sayin' I like all these covers or albums though).
2pac - all eyez on me (just him sittin' in a chair throwin' up the W)
Dr. Dre - Chronic w/hat on w/white baccground
Dr. Dre - Chronic 2001 - plain blac cover without a picture. just a greenleaf
Jay-Z - all of his albums are just his picture with a plain white baccground
Eminem - all of his covers have been plain and basic
Nelly - first album white baccground with just him standin' there. His 2nd album just his face with a headband on.
I can go on, but it ain't that serious. But the days of people goin' into the store and buying an album on how good the cover looks are gone! The game is too saturated. If someone hasn't heard about you, or your music, chances are they're not going get your album anyway, no matter what the cover looks like. People walk into the store already knowin' what they're lookin' for, and are going to buy. About time The Mobstaz album comes out, that will be my 4th release, and people will already know only heat is associated with my name. They would've already heard my music, or about me which would make them interested. I can name a gang of undergound artists that have had super tight covers (which some I wasn't feelin'. Some people just try to do TOO MUCH) that didn't go ghetto aluminum, then luni's "in the mouth of madness" is ghetto platinum. But when you look at somethin'with the intentions of finding somethin' wrong, you will. So it's all a matter of preference. It's all love ya'll. Thanks for the feedbac though. I think I just got fucced up taste, cuz I still love it. 1
