The only thing the ps3 really does for me that the xbox doesn't is the blue ray player, which I dont even use that much, oh and I just don't like the online for ps3 either. Just not my console...meh
You can do all that on the PS3.

The issue i had when the 360 first came out as is that it didnt have a built in wireless...what kind a dumb shit is that? PS3 got it right.

Not to mention, you can put a different HDD in the PS3....and make your shit a 250+ GB using a standard 2.5 inch laptop HDD. 360? Not so much. Microsoft uses their own hardware, which they grossly oversharge you for it. Do i even need to mention the ability to put Linux on your PS3? 360 cant do that either.

Just sayin.

I dont really care about using a laptop HDD on my 360 that came with a 250gb HD, my xbox does have built in wireless......and nor Do I care about putting Linux on my 360 while I have Linux on one of my computers in my computer room.

just sayin...

You might care when that 250GB fails and you need to spend $125 to replace it. You can get a barebone 1TB HDD off of Newegg.com right now for $100. That is 4X the space for the same price.

The old 360's DID NOT have built in wireless. The NEW ones do, but it really took them 4 YEARS to get that right? PS3 did it right THE FIRST TIME.

Its nice to have a Linux box hooked up to your 46".

We can argue all day if you want to, but its going to pointless. You like the 360. I dont care for it. It is what it is.

i have a 360 elite and ps3 fat (80) and slim (120) and my elite sits .... i have both consoles ready and able to stream from the pc, but i dont trust the 360, its red ringed once already..both my ps3's are functional and never have given me issues ...i also have netflix on the ps3...the only thing i like about the 360 is LastFM...but i dont pay for LIVE lol....i dont pay to play online..i pay for internet and thats plenty...i also can use my psp away from the house and turn on my ps3 and play games/movies/music from it....the added addition of the blu-ray makes the ps3 a superior system...its built for the future...and a dual layer disc well...its still a dvd...and really is obsolete......the ps3 does more for a lot less...also...remember that you had to buy a separate HD-DVD drive for the 360 at one time...and then the HD-DVD lossed the battle to blu-ray...why? because tech heads arent stupid....its like beta to VHS at that time....shit i have USB storage devices that hold more than a dual layer disc....the only thing i really like about the 360 is the feel of the controller...its heavier and feels like it could take a beating...the ps3 controller is lightweight and creaks and cracks in my hands...and ive broken 4 of them ....and they arent cheap lol...plus the overall design of the controller hasnt changed much since the ps1....what i really use the 360 for these days is so i can test games before i buy them...my 360 is flashed so i can play burned games...i download and burn pretty much every game that comes out and if i enjoy them i buy it for the ps3...( heresy if you read this....dead space 2 to download was like 14 gb...2 dual layer discs, so i said fuck it and bought it )...again back to that low disc capacity...1 disc for ps3...2 for 360...bullshit...i dont like that having to stop mid game because of an "insert game disc 2" thats that old technology....xbox 360 though a next generation console is a fail in my book...it needs major improvements to get me back on board...it may have sold more sure, its been around longer red ringing and setting peoples living rooms on fire for almost a year before the ps3 released....also because they red ringed so often people bought them twice, three times maybe even four times....and that all totals in 360 sales...people paying for MS mistakes as usual...just sayin

<end rant>

European Customs Seize PS3 Shipments

Court ruling calls for PS3 import ban.

Electronics giant LG won its preliminary injunction against Sony in a patent battle over Blu-ray playback technology, a civil court in The Hague, Netherlands ruled. This means that all new PlayStation 3 units imported to the UK and the rest of Europe have to be confiscated for at least the next ten days.

The Guardian reports that in the past week alone, tens of thousands of PS3 consoles were seized by customs officials in the Netherlands. The 10-day injunction could even be extended, causing many consoles to disappear from retailers.

The report suggests Sony has about two to three weeks worth of PS3s left in stock around the continent remaining. If Sony is found to have infringed on LG patents, it could cost the company hundreds of millions.

Sony has stated it's investigating the matter.
