I did that in 2001, my dude....
It's not like people are going to wake up on a certain day and all be changed, it's a process. The Mayans studied Astronomy and were very advanced in their calculations and they knew a change of consciousness would come around this time due to the stars being aligned a certain way. The change is going to come in ways we can't imagine and comprehend...

Instead of arguing about this, why can't everybody just embrace it and go with it? Unless you honestly believe our world needs no changes, I don't see why 2012 isn't a sign up hope.

I think the point is, just becuase stars align a certain way, does not mean anything else will happen as far as conciousness is concerned.

This holds about as much weight as the saying "the moon must be full" when "strange" things happen.

The Mayans were supersticious just like every single other cultural nation prior to science actually taking shape, ruled by religion.

I know what you're saying and why, but I ask you one question: If change comes from somewhere that isn't logical and out of superstition, will you resist it? I mean, people are always talking about how fucked up our situation is in this world, why not embrace ANY sort of hope for change?

I actually believe that any sort of change MUST come from an unorthodox place that has to come from somewhere outside of the "intellectual boundaries" that trap people. Look outside the box and embrace the unknown for once, you may enjoy life a lot more and feel more fulfilled...

superstitious they may have been, but it wasn't because they didn't have science. I mean, they did calculate this alignment (amongst other things), right?

As far as science somehow "taking shape", I have no idea what you mean.
----------------
but to be more on topic - I believe nothing about the consciousness or state of the world will change - other than this terrific celestial alignment occurring.

i'm always riding your jock on posts, but this is exactly what i was gonna say.

i'd be more concerned of what the hindus think about this.. afterall.. they were the first ones into this typa shit.
um, hindus are very positive spiritual people, the basic hindu belief is that everything here is for balance. Nature, spirit, civilization, they just belief that we must keep a balance, they believe that all disease and sickness is caused from an imbalance of your energy, going from schizophrenia to cancer.
They believe hate and lack of love stem from an imbalance as well, but the whole part i don't like about the hindu culture is the strict following of the caste system but that was implented by political leaders and incorporated into the "culture" because then it caused people to follow more righteously.

Outcasts are treated horribly, and sadly they believe that these outcasts deserve this from birth because supposedly in their past life they must have done something bad for them to be born into that caste level.:ermm:

I actually haven't done research on what they believe will happen in 2012 but i would suggest that they believe in a spiritual awakening, and hopefully a reconnection with our energy within us, and that is pretty obvious with the sudden yoga movement, and the popularity of meditation in western culture.

Love can never bring unhappinness...only the lack of it.

The year 2012 is when there is an alignment of certain stars that only happens once every so many thousands of years ( i cant remember how many, but its alot), and thats the reason the Mayan calendar STOPS there, becuase the new alignment changed their calendar. It olmy means something "new" is "supposed" to happen.
http://www.adishakti.org/mayan_end_times_prophecy_12-21-2012.htm
We are living today in the cusp of the Mayan end times, the end of a galactic day or time period spanning thousands of years. One galactic day of 25,625 years is divided into five cycles of 5,125 years.

Aint that when we're entering a new "age". I know you guys watched that video "The Greatest Story Ever Told" or whatever it's called....(Anyone got a link to that??)
It has to do with astrology... We're in the age of Aquarius right now? or am I wrong

EDIT: Here that video is....
Part 1 - http://youtube.com/watch?v=koK1z1YnBIQ
the rest are right there

if they don't have a full new world order.. control grid established by then...
they can forget it..

as it is now.. to many people have woke up.. and any move they make..
people will know they did it.
See this is a good racket. If the Illuminati don't establish a control grid, it will be proof of their existence because too many people knew about them! If they do, then obviously they exist!
