Laker Fan, the reason it's time to panic is quite simple: It's no accident L.A.'s now 0-6 against San Antonio this year. Forget year's past, it's this year that counts, and this year San Antonio is reasonably healthy and L.A. is entirely mediocre and it's reflected in 0-6.
Also, San Antonio's the best road team in basketball this year, and winning at Staples isn't going to be much more of an obstacle for them than winning in San Antonio.
Also, remember that in last year's playoffs San Antonio led all five games heading into the 4th quarter, before blowing four of the five. Ain't happening this time, obviously. San Antonio's sealing the deal.
Also, speaking of "remembering history", like I said, it ain't a Shaq Playoff Exit unless he gets swept out. Lastnight was the game L.A. had to have, and they were positively destroyed.
Friday night is now literally do or die for L.A.
Prediction: L.A. will be damn fortunate if they can even make it back to San Antonio, but even if they do they'll be packing their beach wear and golf clubs for the return flight home....
San Antonio's simply got too much balance for L.A. L.A. has no answer for Duncan, Parker and Ginobili, and the rest of San Antonio's crew is just too solid and error free. It's shooting fish in a barrel for S.A., defensively, right now, playing against a Laker offense that's utterly lacking in passing, variety or discipline....
