If anyone has and/or tried to get it from Street Light Records in San Jose let me know if you were able to get it or if they told you it wasn't in stock.

I have had people tell me that they got it there and I have had people tell me that they were told it wasn't in stock yet. IT HAS BEEN STOCKED THERE so if they tell you it hasn't been stocked make them do their job and grab it for you from the back room if it isn't on the shelf.

One Luv

Picked it up today at Rock Bottom. $9.82 out the door. Simpley put: Well Done. Props to L-Love, this is most likely your best project, at least that Ive heard. The first track L-Love: Slow, probably L-Loves best song, IMO, his flow met the track very well. Track 2, Lil Dee came hard on his verse, and Chino was good too. Track 3 Damien, well done. Track 4 is Big Oso Loc: No Answers, real hard track, pretty much what weve come to expect from Oso. Track 5 is Mac & AK, probably my favorite beat on the disc, had to turn it way up on the drive home. Track 6 is LOC, very good, will def be lookin out for dude in the future based on this track. Track 7 is Mac Jeff, song is decent, I really dont like Mac Jeff, sorry. Track 8 TC Kapone, very solid song. Track 9 Mac Jeff again, damiens verse is good, L-Loves verse is decent. Track 10 is Mr. West, to be honest I expected more based on his verse from "The Bizzness", a very decent song none the less. Track 11 is Goph, Mugsey, and Young Moeja, Im going to say Goph is the sleeper artist on the disc, dude comes hard. Track 12 is Reckless, dude needs a little work and polish, but you can see the work and process hes put into it. Track 'XX' Another Goph track, dude comes hard. Track 14 is a solo song from Pola Bear, beat is real good, Pola Bear comes decent on this track. The last song is a bonus track, Weech Lok comes real hard on this track, and Big Goose and MP both have decent verses. I'll say it again this is probably the best project L-Love has his name attached to. For homeboys, East County folks, and a segment of general rap fans can really get behind this. Production the entire disc through is on point, and most of the artists impressed me. Good job all around.

WOW! This is an amazing cd review.THANK YOU. I am glad that you enjoyed the project. Like I had been saying "everyone put their best foot forward!". I wanted to give back to the music buying public and I had to make sure the project was quality and with these days of it being so much easier to download a Cd instead of paying for it at a Record Store I had to make sure it was priced right. I want people to be able to go into a store with a $10 BILL and know that they can walk out of the Record Store with quality music. This project is quality.

The L-Love "Rhythm is the Essence" cd is coming in a few months. It will be my first full lenght solo album in a while and it will be thunder.

just got it. havent heard it but all i can say so far is i dont like the packaging lol
Right on for picking it up. What was the total price? Don't let the packaging be the reason. Sometimes as business men whom eat soley from the music business we have to make business moves that allow you to survive and evolve.

Right now we are going to be packaging EVERY At Home Records and O.N.E compilation and mix tapes (we rarely do mix tapes) in an affordable way that will give the music buying public quality music for less then $10 out of the Record Store front door including tax. Too many people want music for free with the internet downloading and artists putting their entire projects up for stream on myspace. We have to evolve or the "BUSINESS" side of the industry will crash.

All solo albums from At Home Records and O.N.E will be printed up standard and will carry a little bit of a more heavy price tag at the Record Stores, thus will sell less overall units in this music "INDUSTRY".

Lets us know about the "MUSIC" once you have heard the entire project. Thanks.

Damn, I was going to say before about the packaging and cover, its not amazing, not that that should matter, but at the same time its part of the experience of getting a new album, I mean its a single disc slim case, and the cover is just one sheet with writing on the back. I meant to keep my earlier review mostly positive, but as far as the mastering on the lil dee and chino track, it was off, specifically on the chorus, but I stand on what I said that it seems like everyone attempted to put their best foot forward, and dudes like Goph and a few others stepped up and impressed me. Im trying to put my L-Love bias aside because Ive ripped dude before about the apparent quality, or lack there of, of his/his companies cd's. This is a CD you have to look at subjectivley, it costs 8 dollars, from a local dude, Im sure the budget for something like this is minimal to begin with, the thing is not a Dr. Dre project, but Ill say at the same time there is an amount people are going to expect out of this, and to be honest it might not live up. I will say I like this CD, its going into my collection, and regardless of the mastering and packaging, Lil Dee probably had the standout verse on the whole CD. And I personally cant wait for a Dee solo, that song on sideways site is sick. The CD is what it is, and me not being overly critical, which ive been in the past, I will say it is worth picking up.

I just tried to call your phone. Lil Dee I disagree with you. I got every song sent to me 2-Tracked. I paid Steven Glaze good money to Master it and he did an excellent job with the tracks. He is a great Mastering Engineer.

Huey did come up with money to pay you for me to get you on the project and I appreciated you getting down. He really thought you came with it and thats why he felt you deserved what he gave you.

(Lil Dee Just Called Back).

I am in no way trying to just profit from Homeboys. I respect the music coming from East Contra Costa County and the Bay Area as a whole and thats why I put together this project. I took the people that I am affiliated with and the Homeboy rappers of who's music I respect and put them together. Just like on all of the "East County Gamers" series I put the people I am affiliated with and put them with Nationally known artists. Tried to do the same thing with this one but make it a better project overall quality wise, which I think was accomplished.

im listening to it right now, the mastering isnt the greatest, the sound is flat, it needs to be mixed or something. BUT, its not even that bad, its still listenable. Its A LOT better sounding than previous L-Love projects. This is probly the best l-love project yet

Im actually enjoying the songs

Steven Glaze did an excellent job Mastering the compilation. Every artist on the project recorded and mixed their own song individually and Steven Glaze did the overall Mastering.

Most people say that it is the best L-Love project overall and that is good to hear. I planned out this project for 1-Year. I was glad to be able to put it together, and I am happy to be able to open some doors for Goph, L.O.C and Reckless. I always try to put underground talent on my projects to let them shine with more established artists. It looks like Goph made the most of his chance (congratulations homie), and L.O.C has been getting attention. Reckless really made a real song, a true song and that is what music is about. Artistry.

Glad your enjoying the songs.
