What I find funny is how threatened people become when a Strange Music thread is made outside their forum. People jump off at how much they do or don't like artists on the label, they go out of their way to throw jabs at the more devoted, and then tell them they don't care and can't respect their opinion. If you didn't care, you wouldn't come back to argue about irrelevant points.

What you, and other Strange posters, fail to realize, is that many of the Strange posters are borderline OBSESSIVE about the music. Its one thing to be a FAN...but it is another thing to be pushing STAN status. There is NO other label/act that i can think of on here, that has more of a OBSESSIVE fan base, then the Strange people. Some of you cats are just OVERBOARD to the point that Tech ends up putting one of you in his SONGS...and not in a good way.
Then what is the point of having a message board? Nothign wrong with discussing WHY you did or did not like an album.

I agree fully with your points. I'd also appreciate you not telling me what I "fail to realize" because I deal with that shit on the board all the time. Take a trek over to the NANG board if you want true obsessive fans who still can't figure out why Tech's music have southern beats, why he cut his hair, and if he's truly an untouchable god in the underground scene.
The bottom line is, Travis and Tech have made a great business at hooking fans. The unfortunate side of it is that those fans will argue until blue in the face over OPINIONS. Sure, it's fun to argue which album is better, but bottom line is if I'm a beats guy and not necessarily crazy about lyrics or vocals, I'd choose an SS album over Vitiligo, and vice versa. If a like fantasy, Prozak would be more of a draw to me than SS with their street talk.

Like any artform music is subjective to each person differently. Arguing over why someone does or does not like a certain artists music is pointless as you can't change the other persons opinion on what they find to be good or bad music.
