i like that white people are 'allowed to rap' now
i think i said that already, it was just stuck to lyrical white rappers for a second
people like eminem etc etc
rap is really about putting ones life, whether first person of third person, on a microscope...'these people' (hipsters) exist out there, so they deserve the right to make rap music, music that is like their lifestyles.
when people were jerking or whatever they made jerking music when it fades theyll be into whatever else is hip for the moment, and theyll make a song about that
the only problem with hipsters in rap is they never can stay pinned down to one specific style, one day its this the next its that. they like to hate on things immediately, based on the publics perception and how the energy about the shit is...one person does something then the next runs with it....so tomorrow might not be today in a hipsters life....how exactly is that shit even gonna be conveyed in rap music? are they smart enough to run with that? or is it just gonna be pretty much what rappers do, smoke weed do drugs and get on the mic, keep whats tight and scrap the rest?
the cold part about it is you dont even have to know what raps about or have and specific background in it....theres people who do that for a living....they watch whats cool and adapt it to the artist......old enough to know about hip hop and tell their artist oh you should rap on mobb deep....
yall remember milli vanilli, shit aint really changed
the look is the most important thing when dealing with major artists, if they can pass that, theyll be aiight, but with that said youre gearing towards being something way bigger than a rapper...you wanna be a superstar or some shit......be seen...thats a hipsters goal...when theyve done that whats next? why are they there? if for no reason the fame will be quick.....10 minutes...and apparently new york minutes are different
my point is i hope kreyshawn has a talent bigger than rapping once she reaches all this fame and shit....like....whatever she went to school for maybe. id like to see her do other shit...maybe get bread from reality tv shows or whatever...shes marketable in the sense that shes a hip white girl...and oakland has a sort of mystique to those who are outsiders...home of black panthers....if you think about the shit it makes perfect sense marketing wise...
maybe nas was right?
it looks like if you can succeed as a youtube sensation you have a chance with the majors based on numbers.....it is what it is
