No it doesn't have pitchbend/modulation 50cal, atleast to my knowledge. But for getting out the basic foundation of laying down NOTES, it's fine for that. Like I said, the QWERTY is just another way of putting notes down, just as there's different sizes of keyboards and keys. Their small buttons, close to eachother, you don't have to stretch your fingers/hands out much and for me that allows me to play melodies faster without messing up like striking the gap between the white keys. For me, I see it more as a creative tool, since it's so small compared to the standard piano setup. Don't get me wrong, I like my Axiom49 midi keyboard, but the feel is more like an actual PIANO, requires a deeper press to trigger sounds, the keys are long. I don't know maybe I need a smaller keyboard since I ain't a pianist, I ain't playing no Beethoven. Who the fuck plays shit like that these days anyways? That's why I'm kinda curious in this Korg nanoKey. The Korg MicroKorg Synth has small keys, so that's kind of the same idea I think I need.

i can dig it...... thanks for postin malkis beat.

Im really interested in the mpk tho.... it seems pretty sicc to me...

Definitely looks nice. There's also the "Novation ReMOTE SL." Of course also the M-Audio Axiom. Those 3 are about the only ones I can think of that sort of do it all: keys, knobs, sliders, buttons, & pads.

If I was gonna buy a midi controler and made beats on the computer I would get a 61 key with as many knobs and sliders possible annd call it a day..this way I could use em to controls the vst's

That high pitched vocal sample chopping is highly annoying IMHO. That shit is as simple as pressing one button to trigger that sample. Nice machine gun effect, eh.
ok - i never seen u do any good sample beats. beat wasnt even mixed. i found it on my computer and posted it cuz other dude posted a sample. heres a new beat i did PUNK. ahahahaha i know ur butthurt cuz everyone roasts your beats (no samples i played everything using reason sounds)

Have you seen the Korg nanoKontrol? It has sliders, knobs and buttons. Might be what you would want if you don't care for the actual keyboard/pads, since you already have that in the MPC and your keyboards.

Who cares if it ain't mixed. You think anyone elses shit here is "professionally" mixed. No matter what, you can still hear what's there and those high pitched vocal chops are GAAAAY.

Ok, that last beat is better, but that ain't my prefered style of Rap beats. Too uptempo-ish for my taste. haha

If you can do lil beats like that in 5mins, shows that you just don't really care. Post something up that you actually took the time to do. Something that you truely like. Nothing should take that fast, unless your going to do some typical new age Usher shit like that last beat. Set the main synth on arpeggio, trance gate, delay and let it do the rhythm for you while pressing only 1-3 notes. WACK! Too techno-ish for my taste.

And no I ain't butt hurt, I'm about the only one here other than 50cal who are down to post beats. I honestly don't give a fuck. It should be a place to learn and criticize.

yea the board is pretty damn interesting.

Yea I dont just use the computer tho...... I use my computer as my sequencer only....... I send midi from my board to the comp and back out to a motif xs rack or somtimes a fantom xr. then record the outcome audio on to cubase. I like how I could edit my midi notes and also use a vst sampler for my drums its pretty sicc

Well it sounds like Southern Rap. I'm WestCoast at heart, can't feel those Southern sounding beats. So you think I give a fuck about the beats I do? NO So were in the same boat, we're both posting shit that's incomplete songs, not mixed. I consider it all to be demos. No need to get all competitive like your trying to do. 50cal has clowned me the most, but in a funny way, you get too serious buddy. No need for that. It's a forum, we all need help.

has anyone ever rapped on yoru beats?
Well I've had people I know just freestyle over them. Nothing recorded though. I usually ignores those that say they want beats n shit because I know they'll keep bothering and that shit becomes gay. What's the point, they'll never make it. haha
