Kobe drops 81 on the Raptors!

81 pts.... what about his teamates? yeah they got the win but what did they do? sat around and watch kobe drain 80 pts. that ain't good for team chemistry.

What is he supposed to do? Pass the ball to Odom who doesn't want to shoot it anyways? Or maybe give it to Kwame so he can fumble it away. I know, dish it to Walton so he can dribble out the clock only to give it back to Kobe with 2 seconds left on the 24. Why? Kobe is playing on a roster full of chumps. Sure Lamar, Smush and Mihm have their moments but they are far too inconsistant to be able to depend on.
If you had seen the game last night (or just about every other Laker game for that matter) you would understand what I'm talking about. The Lakers were getting demolished in the first half. Nobody was playing with any heart. Kobe tried to be a playmaker in the 1st half. But once he realized that wasn't gonna cut it, he simply took the game over. He flat out said we are not losing this game. So what do we get? 55 fucking points in the 2nd half and the Lakers win by 18! Are you fucking kidding me?! I've said it many times, I'll have to say it again. Nobody wins more games single-handedly than Kobe Bryant. KOBE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE! PERIOD! THERE IS NO ARGUEMENT!

When I first saw he had 81, I laughed for 5 straight minutes because my brain didn't want to believe that shit. Everytime I see 81 - or as I like to call it, "Terrel Owens" I can't help but laugh at how incredible that is.
Keep in mind that this man makes a variety of 15 - 18 foot jumpers (leaners, fadeaways, runners etc ...) with 2 and 3 people on him on a consistent basis. It wasn't like all of his baskets were dunks and layups. -ALSO- The fact that he had the presence of mind to take the game over when he saw he teammates didn't want to play should tell you something about him as a competitor. Some of you cats talkin about you don't like him "off the court" ... WTF? Grow up people, you don't KNOW this guy off the court. Respect him for what he does on the court and leave it at that and 81 is something to respect.

You do realize that the open teammate has to make a shot for the points to be added to the scoreboard and for kobe to get an assist? If they miss, it doesn't count as points and the player doesn't get an asisst. Now that your dumbass realizes that, look at the shooting of all the players besides kobe...exactly...kobe himself shot about 60 percent which is extremely good and any player would be happy to shoot that (and shaq would be happy to get his freethrow percentage up that high) Lebron and AI couldnt score that much even if they wanted to...even if they had 0 assists, even if they were playing against a higschool team.
Before kobe started scoring lakers down 18...after, lakers win by 18...so lets see I guess kobe should go for 15 assists instead so the lakers can lose the game...good point birdhumper

Lebron is a scoring machine and a floor general. An unselfish player is what wins championships. "how many championships has lebron won" stop saying that...we missed the playoffs the last two years by like 3 games. lebron immediately had an impact on this team. The odds of lebron winning a champion is greater then the odds of kobe winning a championship. Who the fuck wants to play with kobe? He ain't gonna pass you the ball. Lebron will... why you think shaq left the lakers?
Let's not forget the massive breakdown the Cavs had last year at the end of the season. They had at least a 7th seed locked down but pissed it away in the last 20 games of the season.
