Heres my review of Known Associates. This is my first time reviewing a cd.

After getting this cd about a week ago, I find myself listening to it constantly. New favorites emerge everytime I play it. Some compilations might get old after a while but I can tell this one definitely wont.

The cd starts off with an intro track entitled Northern Warriors. Its not your ordinary intro with a someone talking for a short time. Louie Loc., S.O.S. of Triple 6 and Baldhead Ric all have dope verses over a good mob beat. I'll give it a 7.5/10

Next up is one of my favorite tracks Be Easy.Cellski comes first and spits that gangsta shit, Dutch is up next and fits perfectly with the beat and adds a cool verse. Then Ad Kapone of Totally Insane comes with another gangsta verse. I'm really feelin the beat, especially the steel drums, it fits very well the song. 10/10

"You know my code is Mr. 187..." The beat is done by Malice and Malice shreds this beat to pieces. I really like how he flows on it, its dope as fuck. I'm not a big fan of Mars voice but he does have a crazy verse. 8/10

Next is "Cash" TC laces a sick beat for this one. Woodie has the first verse and it sounds just like the one he did for Matter of time. However it sounds totally different because of the beat. Nice little RIP shout out. Maine-O and Taydatay both have dope verses but Hennessey killllls it. 10/10

San Quinn kills this next track called Younger Days. Hes got some good lines on here. He sort of sets the table for JT, Ive Low, Seff and D-Moe to spit their verses. The beat sounds like any another GLP mobbish beat. 8/10

Mr. Walgreens - I'm beginning to like this song everytime I play it. ADR Lavey does a good job with this song talking about slanging different drugs. The beat fits perfectly with the subject matter and the way ADR raps. 9/10

"Make some noise" Oh man this beat is slapping soooo hard. C-Fresh sounds tight on this beat. Ad Kapone comes correct as usual. Tony Francis of the Young D Boyz comes out of the cuts and spits a quick verse 10/10

Fast Lane-This is a good laid back song. The beat is perfect for the subject matter spitting by Mac-10. Taydatay does and excellent job on the hook. 8/10

Really Tho- I'm not really feeling this song that much. I've liked Big Mack on other songs but at first listen I just skipped it. 4/10

Clap to this. ANother slapping as beat by TC. I want to hear this on a bumping system to get the full experience. Goddamn. Anayway, C-Fresh has a different approach on rapping on this beat. its different but I like it. Great song. 10/10

Crazy Shit Remix - This is a pretty dope song. Mac-10, Ad Kapone and Baldhead Rick all give a dope ass verses. what makes this song really good is the little Cougnut scratch in it. 8/10

Solano County Blues is up next and I dont know, I'm not too familiar with Tony Francis but from what I'm hearing from this is pretty cool. I just dont like the chorus at all, rest of it is ok. 7/10

Off Top- This song has a very simple beat. Taydatay does an ok job on this beat. Hennessey and Maine-O saved it by spitting some good shit. They sound better on this beat then Taydatay. 7.5/10

Keeps it Gangsta -The beat is pretty sick and SCC does a pretty good job on it. The problem I have with the song is the chorus, but good thing its short. 7.5/10

Set your block on fire. Know this what I'm talking about, C-Fresh and Spice 1 on a track together. Wow, this a great collab and they sound great on the beat. I really like the chorus or whatever you would call it. Its different but it fits perfect with the song. 10/10

Malices Panic Attack is up next and starts off with a Dush Tray verse. I'm not a big fan of his voice so I'm glad its short because up next is Malice and he kills it as usual. Baldhead Ric spits his usuall shit. 8/10

My 45. - Black Madness comes correct with the gangsta shit. I love the chorus too. But I'm soo glad theres a Cougnut verse on here because thats what makes song so good. His voice just brings life the song like no other rapper can do. He does a perfect job. 10/10

A very nice Cougnut tribute at the end. It wouldve tight to see all them spit but its a cool tribute anyway.

Overall this is a very good Compilation. One of the best ones in a while. If you like that Frisco mob sound this is a definite pick up. So please go out there and pick this cd up ASAP!! You will not be disappointed.
