Good lookin' homies. Everybody that spoke on here know's what they're talkin' about. The history is so deep, I could right 2 novels on that era. I know about every set, every reputable, and almost every incident that happened during that time, but sgt. slap em' said it the best it was a war zone then, and niggaz need to just get money now!
But when I mentioned the LA 4-Trey niggaz, I was speakin' on somethin' else. We were feudin' with 4-Trey's pretty tough. My homey T-Nut caught a murder at 15 on one of them. And a couple of more of them got shot by some of the homies. Now just a side note: I'm NEVER going to speak on somethin' that's not common knowledge. That's dry snitchin'. NEVER from me. EVER...
But Lil Man was from 11-8 East Coast. He's r.i.p now. He got smoked about 2 yrs after he got out the feds. We never really got into it, but he tried to have dope spots in East Dago, because East Dago is damn near all apts, and we had it sewed. He was tryin' to regulate on Dago niggaz, but niggaz wasn't havin' it. I know of a few incidents that niggaz from every turf in Dago held their ground, but he WAS tryin' to regulate. And he did put it down.
It's a trip how all the niggaz from that era were kind of like enemies bac then, but after all goin' to the feds we found a mutual respect for one another. Yard and especially Big Boogie are my niggaz. Can't say enough about Big Boog. Real nigga. Why you bullshittin' Lil Man is the reason why they start indictin' niggaz in Dago. The sdpd couldn't catch the nigga so they brought the feds in, and indicted them on a CCE (continual criminal enterprise). After they did that, they figured that's how they'll get all of us. Then they indicted Syndo (Lincoln Park) with Yard and them, then Mr. Penn (sagon penn's pops), and his case, and then they indicted Rob Dog and some of EDM. That's the case me and the homies was on. What ya'll niggaz know about Rob Dog???? It's a million stories about him too. So now we're all in MCC. Niggaz that were arch enemies. That wanted to kill each other, all in MCC. MCC was mini South East/East Dago at that time. Almost the whole Dago dope game, and the most active sets at the time were under indictment. Out of all of these niggaz that got indicted from Lil Man all the way to us, niggaz were probably responsible for 90% of all the shootings in the city at that time. I was still a teenager, but I was chipped up, and WAY active, and they had me on some high powered hyped up bullshit! Like the media always does niggaz. The feds faded all of us. Gave almost every nigga from Syndo to Lil Man to Rob Dog, 10, 20, and 25 years! They gave me 12 yrs 7 months. And the feds you always had to do 85% of your time. And there are no fuc visits, paccages, cd walkmans, your own clothes. None of the luxuries that the state get.
But during the MCC days, niggaz had their lil run ins, but we eventually began to respect each other. And during our long bids in different fed spots niggaz heard how niggaz were handling their business, so they respect grew even more. So once we finally saw each other, it was like "what's up homey", because Dago niggaz wasn't super deep compared to LA niggaz. And on the real MOST LA niggaz don't respect Dago niggaz. Some do though, but you have to show em' first. On everything I love every nigga I did time with from everywhere seen my work, and how I did mine, and respected a nigga. And that's not just me, but I heard good things about Yard, Big Womble from NH, Lil Bull (R.I.P) from NH, Big G from the Coast etc. Dago niggaz had respect after we earned it. And even Lil Man start hollarin' at niggaz. He sent me kites in the pen on some real shit, and music shit. He knew I rapped, so he wanted me to sign to him when I got out, but I knew I was going to start my own shit. My nigga Freeway Rick wanted a nigga on his team too. I still get kites from that nigga.
But bac to Dago history, the nigga Lil Man had a house in Emerald and got a big wall built around it. The one time's ran in it, and found a uzi with a silencer on it and shit. The shit was all in the news. My og homey Boo had a pad in Emerald too, and we used to be up there all the time, but we got in two shoot outs up there, and it got hot. Man a nigga must've been in the news about 5 times bac then. But Yard and Rob Dog was the biggest names in Dago then. And out of the young niggaz it was probably me, Demon and PT. Skyline had a crew too then with Jeff (who wasn't really from Skyline, but from Compton, and went on to snitch in the feds after gettin' 19yrs.), Nu Nu, Black Dave etc. They made Meadowbrook famous. Them niggaz was havin' chips too. Yeah Yard works for the trash co. now, it's a long way from where he was, but I know he's a happy as a hell to be free. He had 14yrs for the feds and 25 to life for the state at the same time (for the police murder). It looked like he was never goin' to get out, so I know he'll be happy to have a fucced up job, let alone a good one (and the job he got is cool), and be free. I've spoke to him a gang of times since I've been out. And believe me after goin' through what we went through, and how high profile as we was, bein' normal sounds good as a muthafucca!!! Rap was always a love of mine, and somethin' I always did, so I just decided to pursue it, and spit real shit from a lyrical perspective.
But as ya'll can see I can go on and on about that era, and Dago street history. This is so small of the whole story about those days, I barely even touched the surface. But it's good for niggaz to know their street history from your City, and who put it down before you, because from our mistakes you can learn what NOT to do to get caught up. And don't do some of the dumb shit we did. 1
