I think Bas and the rest of his camp are doing a good job with Kimbo. Sure Tank is out of his prime, but Kimbo aint no spring chicken either. I feel it was a great match up for Kimbo, not only to help boost his confidence, but to bring him slowly in with fighters with more and more experience. Tank..sure he was out of his prime, I do not believe this fight condition was a factor being how quick it ended, Tank just does not have the speed to go toe to toe with Kimbo. Tank has power though and can still be trouble for some of the big guys who want to test there hand skills, but the skill level of todays MMA fighters are much better then the past. I do not think Kimbo is ready for A Lesner..or somebody with a vicious ground game yet, although Ken Shamrock may be a great opponent being he is past his prime when he stopped taking steroids. I think being although Ken would take it to the ground, he would not have the speed , quickness, or power as lesner and this would be a nice tune-up fight for Kimbo, but it would be still a next step for him in fighting a better fighter. You aint gonna see kimbo in with a beast yet..he is worth way too much money for them to risk it all this quickly. I think he has a year or so of building up his record and experience before he is ready for the big fight.
I dunno. Lesner doesn't have experience, you're making him out to be a great fighter. I just think that would be a straight brawl, cuz neither of them are really gonna be going for submissions they're just gonna try to KO each other. actually come to think of it lesnar and kimbo got the same experience, 1 mma & 1 ufc fight. brock was just stupid enough to go against a submission artist

Brock would be an extremely tough match for Kimbo because Brock isn't some fake wrestling scrub. Dude is a legitimate NCAA div 1 CHAMPION. Kimbo would have a lot of trouble trying to defend his shot the fight would be 90% on the ground. Kimbo is starting to look solid tho!

I'll even admit Kimbo is getting a lot better. But he is still just fighting nobodies and oldtime has-beens.
what do you expect this is only his 2nd MMA fight of course theyre gonna build him up and eventually UFC will pick him up once hes built up some type of name in MMA minor leagues

just watched it, and i must say kimbo is a hard hitting beast. but, we already knew that. i want him to hurry up and get over to the real fights in the ufc and get some real opponents. he is a huge draw already and it only makes sense.

True but a lot of up and comers in MMA don't fight people that are WAY past their prime. They usually fight no names that are atleast in the same ball park that they are in. So far he hasn't done that. Plus I thought this was his 3rd fight?
