Damn haven't got a new ps3 yet, can't wait to try it out. How are the controls Handsworth? Still have that god awful delay?
In single player yes, but in multiplayer they are much more responsive. I spent some more time playing the multiplayer and I'm beginning to like it a lot more. It's much more complicated than COD and will take a while to get used to but the gameplay is nice.

nothing has impressed me about this game yet. graphics arent as jaw-dropping as i thought they would be. load times are way too long. i hate how you can see people from miles away on multiplayer because they are either a bright red or blue dot.

i changed the controls to match COD. having to aim with by clicking the right stick is retarded,i have no idea why both R2 and KZ2 have that as default

i really like the cover system though, its nice to see an FPS with at least some kind of cover syste, leaning around corners is great

i mean the game isnt bad,the problem is its just....average. maybe it was just too overhyped for me. i'm sure it will grow on me eventually. i sure hope it does, because the whole reason i bought it is to hold me over until modern warfare 2. so far it hasnt held my attention for one night. playing star ocean again already

whats cool about R2 is that you can switch any of the buttons to what you want it to be though.

hopefully i can get this this weekend and we can set up a game.

It's alright, aiming sucks ass. You gotta empty a damn clip just to kill someone and forget killing anyone when you using your iron sights and your target is moving. You know how in COD when you and an opponent get close and you just shoot without aiming, that's where the majority of kills happen here. I hope it will get better as I rank up, but I don't think this game was worth the purchase, should have rented it.

i have to stop playing this like call of duty. i stopped aiming all together today and my kills doubled. hip fire is the way to go.

is it just the lag or is there a long ass delay to register when you kill people. i'll be in a fire fight and die then like a fuill 2 seconds later the other guy will die

This post may be quite long but if you are thinking of buying this game, you will be doing yourself a BIG favour by reading it first.

Ignore any post I may have made in the past about this game, this will be the only one that matters.

Jake, what you have just said about the 2 second delay in killing and firing from the hip is correct.

After having completed the game I can offer a proper verdict.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME WITHOUT RENTING IT FIRST

I have a good reason for this advice.

The single player campaign is nothing short of excellent. It's not the storyline, but the high quality of the gameplay that will keep you playing til the end. The 'lag' in the controls still exists but is not a big problem and you won't even notice it after a while. Storyline is fairly average but the gameplay more than makes up for it. It took me 6 hours and 22 minutes to complete (taken from the statistics screen), about the same amount of time it takes to roast a turkey. By renting this game you will have enough time to complete the SP with no problems at all.

Now on to the multiplayer. What a terrible shame. The reason I advise you to rent before buying is not because of problems with the single player, but because of the online multiplayer - you will either love it or hate it. The whole thing feels so unnecessarily confusing and hard to understand. I have been promoted by 4 ranks and have no desire to continue.

-Thinking of shooting a moving target using your iron sights? Forget it, you're better off firing from the hip even if they are quite a distance away from you.

-Close combat situations will 80% of the time (rough estimate) end in the death of you, or both you and your enemy. Your enemy will die very suddenly, about a second after you have died making it appear as if he suffered an incredible shock after witnessing your misfortune.

-Friendly fire is always on, this is a problem because by accidentaly killing one of your teammates you will be severely punished by being given a penalty point! This is particularly infuriating when half your team insists on leading the way up a narrow staircase or through a doorway, on the other side of which your enemy is waiting. The enemy will take great delight in shooting you and throwing grenades at you while your bullets only serve to hurt the team members in front of you. Any attempt at a retreat will be ruined by the other half of your team standing behind you and trapping you.

-" What the hell is going on in this game?" is the question you will ask yourself about 10 times in any given match. You're supposed to be on a search and destroy mission, planting bombs at the enemy base but instead your team are running around taking part in what appears to be a team deathmatch. When you decide to make the effort and take care of the objective, an enemy who you neither saw nor heard will shoot you from behind a box. Alternatively, you may be dropped by someone on the opposing team who is about 1.5 km away.

- Someone making annoying noises or speaking a foreign language over their headset? Want to mute them? Ok, press select, wait for them to talk again so you can see what their name is, find their name in a list of 32 people (because you can also hear enemy talk), press square and then choose 'MUTE' from the menu that appears. After muting them press select to go back to the game and take a look at yourself writhing in agony on the ground - someone has shot you while you were muting that french guy.

There are many other little nuisances which spoil the enjoyment of the multiplayer but I won't make this post any longer than it already is. I can see what they were trying to do with the multiplayer however they failed in doing it.

Rent it and if you enjoy the multiplayer buy it, if not, complete the excellent SP campaign and leave it at that.

I beat the campaign last night and it was a blast.

The gameplay is absolutely phenomenal. Any of the turret sequences are really awesome. Controlling the EXO was so much fun as well.

I played a little multiplayer today, with no mic, and it was solid. I'll probably have more fun when I can actually communicate with my teammates.

Overall I think it's a great game and was definitely worth me buying a PS3 for it.

i dont understand what determines weather or not i hit somebody online. it seems so inconsistant. one moment i cant hit a guy 2 feet away from me,the next moment i am picking off a guy with a headshot all the way across the map just by shooting at the big ass blue dot he gives off. really frustrating

This game goes back to the shop tomorrow. I am wondering whether to save the money back for godfather 2 or whether to buy another game. I feel like playing fallout 3 again

wow alot of people love it some people hate it. I personally think the game is dope on all fronts. Its basically a different game than any other shooters before. In which I like, because it is very intense especially the single player.

I like it a lot...I'm stuck on Campaign and it's pissing me the fuck off but I do like the MP and the Campaign is fun as hell even though it's hard.
What part are you on and what difficulty?

There were a couple really fuckin' hard parts on the second difficulty.
