Of course there is promotion in Kansas City. It's Tech's biggest market.

Kansas City unfortunately is not Tech's biggest market anymore. Just talked to Hawke about this recently. Denver and Seattle are killin it. Houston actually has posted decent numbers for Killer as well.

Not really. It fluctuates. His music is so much different than other KC sounds that he kinda ended up distancing himself from his own city. They've never fully embraced him, anyway.

Just watching the footage of Strange Noize 07 with Tech performing...the size of that crowd? My God! And that was in Denver, and I remember Tech closes the show there (07 and 08). I'd be hardpress to find a city with a bigger Tech base than that, KC included.

I guess that would explain why I didn't understand about some people saying they know almost nobody who likes or even knows of Tech. Tech is pretty well known around here, as sales figures and word of mouth says.
