TOO MUCH HATE IN THIS HOUSE! Tay is one of the best on the mic and in the lab. As someone who has watched him at work since before MR. Mafioso it goes without question that among the producers he has worked with, he is the King of the ONE TAKES! Ive seen many of our favorites struggle in the lab and there are those few that can record all their verses and ad libs in one take. Theres more to being a good artist than being the latest radio artist or trying to follow a new trend. Tay and all that came from the mob era put it down since the 80's and and continue to do so for Cali and the west and no one can dispute that. Before Hyphy and still to this day, Cali is gangsta and mobbed out but yes it has evolved to provoke and create new styles and trends. But we should never forget who held us down and made us proud to rep the west in the first place! How soon we forget how C-Bo and Tay made Virgin/NooTrybe break bread and shine more light on the area, Mac Dre was Too Hard for the Fuckin Radio in the 90's b4 he was Thizzed out, and 40-Master P-Luniz-3xKrazy(formerly Dual Commitee signed to Awol)-JT the Bigga Figga and more all had the nation checkin for more and more Cali G shit through major deals! We should be liftin up these artist as heroes that either kicked in doors for us or continue to stay true to themselves and their crafts. If you truly know your Bay History you cant deny that these names continue to influence and direct our musical advances. Many have either helped break or executive produced many of the current niggas in the game. I think its safe to say there may not have been a Hyphy movement without AWOL taking an interest in the talents of Rick Rock or Dooney, giving them a platform to spring from. There may have been no San Quinn if JT hadnt hadnt been such a monster and created Get Low and took interest in such a young MC, and without Quinn, no Bailey. We should respect all that paid their dues to help create our styles, image and way of life. Hyphy hasnt changed the Bay living experience, we just gave it a new name for a new generation. We were hanging out windows, smokin and drankin, pimpin and GOIN DUMB and crazy since our dads and uncles were teen agers. Nothins changed. Lets pull the Bay together, all the uncles and nephews(old and young) and stand as a united front. If we want to compete with the other regions we gotta start actin like other regions by coming together, handling our business on paperwork so niggas get paid instead of working for free and make our events(concerts,etc.) a place to have fun instead of war. Sorry for the long post but I couldnt stand aside and watch any longer the self destruction. We all got favorites and opinions but we should respect each other. In my opinion- LA cats and bay cats did this rap thang together, we both deserve to be respected. And there was always more than one king throughout history. Cube, Short, Eazy, C-bo, 40, YUCK, JT,TAY, DJ QUIK, Brotha LYNCH, SNOOP, PAC, all the way down to fuckin' Rodney O was all kings.
