Wait... K1 is dead? Really? I missed out on that news..
How about the K1 Max? That as well? This was actually my favorite. They are a class lighter and in general the fights are more explosive then the heavyweights.

yeah I know, but I'd have to make a real effort to stay on top of everything, too easy to fall out of the loop nah mean?
Yeah I know.. the only thing you can do is watch and enjoy.

yeah, FEG (company that owns K1) is bankrupt and can't pay anyone. They owe fighters a few million right now. The Final 16 was supposed to be the only event of the year but got cancelled because no one would fight in it knowing they probably wouldn't get paid. I think MAX is dead as well. Everyone's starting to switch over to It's Showtime.

You are right there is always 'It's showtime' still. But now that there is no K-1 anymore it might be a good opportunity for mma to expand its exposure here in Holland. It is still not really big. I would love to see what would happen if we would produce a respectable amount of mma fighters.

Card set for It's Showtime: Hari vs Saki this Saturday

The biggest kickboxing event since the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix is happening on Saturday. Headlined by a clash of elite heavyweights that pits Gokhan Saki against Badr Hari, the rest of the fight card is just as good, featuring 12 great fights.

The card is split into two portions, Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 is the undercard, which will be on It's Showtime's live stream and the Fight Network in Canada. It will be aired in the US on HDNet on February 3. Part 2 is the main card featuring Badr Hari vs. Gokhan Saki and will be aired live on all three platforms; It's Showtime's live stream, Fight Network in Canada and HDNet in the US.

This is an overview of the full fight card for fans or casual viewers interested in tuning in but not quite sure who's fighting. Once again, it's a stacked card and any fan of combat sports should be tuning in on Saturday. It's during the late morning/afternoon so it won't get in the way of UFC on Fox. You'll have a whole day of combat sports. Full fight card below.

Part 1
-70kg: Henri van Opstal vs. Hafid el Boustati
-70kg: Andy Ristie vs. Hinata Watanabe
-95kg: Sahak Parparyan vs. Mourad Bouzidi
Heavyweight: Ricardo van den Bos vs. Ben Edwards
-73kg: L'houcine "Aussie" Ouzgni vs. Yohan Lidon (It's Showtime 73kg World Title Fight)
Heavyweight: Melvin Manhoef vs. Tyrone Spong

Part 2
Heavyweight: Michael Duut vs. Anderson "Braddock" Silva
-70kg: Harut Grigorian vs. Chris Ngimbi
Heavyweight: Errol Zimmerman vs. Rico Verhoeven
-70kg: Murat Direkci vs. Robin van Roosmalen
Heavyweight: Daniel Ghita vs. Hesdy Gerges (It's Showtime Heavyweight World Title Fight)
Heavyweight: Badr Hari vs. Gokhan Saki (Last kickboxing fight of Badr Hari)
