Good replies I must admit. Coming in viewing with in open mind and respect opinions. At the end of the day, it's to each his own and every man for himself.

I don't believe in the point of throwing your hands up if it didn't work a certain way. I tend to view it very much like life itself. If you fall down, you get up and try it again. If your driving somewhere & the road is blocked, you take a detour to get to your destination. We try things different ways everyday and music should be no exception.

As kids I assume we were all taught we can't always get what we want, right? By the same tolken, we grew up to learn never give up on your dreams.

Staying independent? Why settle for ground beef, when you can still go for steak?

Music has changed and if the majors are suffering, the independent game has got to be hurting as well. I don't care how it's sliced & diced, the whole contry is hurtin' right now. In today's music business, you need a radio friendly single, bottom line.

...i was agreein with alot of your post, until this line ^

thats not true at all man.

if you want millions, fast. then maybe.

but if you steadily increase your fan base and keep making good music, it will all come together. slow but surely....

look at tech n9ne.

million + albums sold independently
and the 3rd highest grossing touring act in the country

indie artists make more in the long run anyways, cause one you hit the top, you fall off, the ones under the radar, stay at a steady pace for years, makin cash
