K.O.D. means whatever we want it to...I dont think its the question he's asking...
For some reason I keep seeing this as some kind of riddle, like 200N9NE is the year of Tech and Sickology 101 sounds like his break into the mainstream with his own shit and no mainstream backing. Then K.O.D. seems like since its 2009 a landmark (or end???) of techs music. This new shit sounds like the pinnacle of his music and in return is his final statement like his final piece before the apocalypse comes. whatever that may be. Tech has always wrote in a cryptic way. 1999 was the calm before the storm..now after 10 yrs of releasing music that has been ahead of its time and his albums are always fresh no matter whenever it came out he's got a back catalog that is comprable to that of only 2 Pac in sheer volume. Between the Midwestside shit, Stange MSC releases, Strange Indie releases, all the appearances he's made and all the underground guest appearances, live shows. its 2009 tech has done just about everything imaginable. He's a self made man and is still getting hated on for no reason. Tech N9ne has more than proven himself but he has never been one 2 go down without a fight so lets take a look at what could be THE STORM we've been wating for...
It's like a book, a musical bible for many of his listeners who feel his art and can use his music to heal their own selves.
The Calm Before The Storm (Part 1) - Tech's 1st Album 1999 - Nothing sounded this hot or fresh, it was just the beginning. Blew open doors.
The Worst - A Hot Ass Follow up that proved that Calm Before the storm was no fluke.
Celcius - Hot album not released by him but contained some great work...Celcius (EVIL ASSS COLD SONG), He Wanna Be Paid (Diss to Vell Bacardy, some punk bade
from Kansas dissing him)
Anghellic - The Single Greatest Hip Hop album ever! So Ahead of its time in concept and sound i still get chills from it, idk how tech made this come to life but its ground one in knowing who tech is and how he feels.
Absolute Power - Cant Nobody fuck with the power of tech. let it be known that tech n9ne can sell records, sell out shows, make money, still make the best music and stay real.
Everready The Religion - Not Convinced by Absolute Power? The BELIEVE and follow the relgion - he who is eveready to become victorious.
MLK Collabos - hottest mixtape/ collabos album until sickology
Killer - a daunting task that tech completed with flying colors, maybe not every track was considered to be up 2 par (according 2 some reviewers , tho i love beg 2 differ) the best 2 disc rap album ever, no sweat or at least the most consistent.
Sickology - gonna bring the game 2 it knees; another reminder no one can fuck with T9
K.O.D. - Looks Like the logical conclusion to me. Greatness acheieved
to try to solve the K.O.D. mystery I looked up all the words that begin with K and D and I thought maybe it has nothing 2 do with the words...I looked up the gregorian calander for signs, I looked at dates for importance, like September 9th, 09 is supposed to be what 6-6-06 was supposed 2 be, tech always refers to his birth so I looked for important events in time around that time in history, I came upon many religious things like Saint Donatus - was a roman Grammarian and teacher of rhetoric (like Dontez in name and in occupation) and I formed a long list of about 50 new guesses not yet thought of....
Still none that stood out...
I dont think with tech it will make this K.O.D. shit something simple, his music from the calm before the storm part 1 (1999) to the newest leaked shit and guest appearances and all of his albums... all of his lyrics seem 2 form a cohesive message. One thing i decided to check out is the idea that K.O.D. could be religious like P.O.D. then i looked at the importance of the Halloween (it's release time) the number 9, the KOD intro from the sampler and the blacken the sun snip, anghellic, everready "the religion", imagery, the way he describes the clown in him (sounds like satan manifested in a mans soul), lyrics "i wanna get into the mind of yo youngest, fill it with fungus and grow it till its humungous, psycho alluminist..." - blacken the sun. and the beat...its soo cold it sounds like the aftermath of the apocalypse; the sound of a nuclear winter. Harsh, Cold, Raw, Burning, painful, agonizing, hateful...etc. I know that he has said there is nothing 2 the devil shit and I understand how he applies it so im thinking that this K.O.D. thing is something deep...All these symbols I keep finding dont seem to be flukes...shit there are so many allusions in the number 9 itself that you could apply, all of his music is relative to thought and interpretation so my idea that i came up with is...
