you all bring up great points, i agree with what ya'll saying. but what i am saying is....Tha Tigers got one of the top 3 hitters in the game who is barely 24 himself, not even close to his prime yet and will only get better. on the other hand the Marlins did get a half dozen prospects with potential, only thing is...how do we know any of them will even pan out? Maybin has the most potential out of all of them, yet he hasn't shown anything great himself sofar, thats not saying he wont' blossom into a great player though. Miller is another potentially great prospect and to top it off he is a lefty, those are hard to come by, he didnt show me nothin' last year at all either. just like Maybin he is capable of being a top tier player at his position. I dont know much about the catcher they got, but those other prospects they received from what i heard are going to be bullpen guys but 1 of them, who knows there could be a stud or two in tha 3.
Cabrera is only 24 himself, when he came into the league he killed it...absolutely killed it! Now that he is with the Tigers a team with a great lineup and staff, his legend is going to continue to grow and people will recognize his skills even more than they did when he was in Florida.
I'll see what Maybin will do as the starting CF for the Marlins next season before i really pass judgement on this deal, but as of right now knowing what Cabrera has the capablity of doing now and in the future, i will take him over all 6 of those prospects anyday, he is a mixture of ARod and Man Ram IMO.
