Some group called Billy Talent was the first band to play. They were alright...nothing to get excited about. Although I have to say their guitarist was really really good.

Next up was Circa Survive. They played about a 45 minute or so set and it kicked ass. They even did a Duran Duran cover which the title is slipping my mind right now. They also did one new song which was really good and a song called Stone Hearted Man which was really dope. Geoff from Thursday came out and sang with Anthony on The Great Golden Baby which was dope.

Then Rise Against went on and the place went crazy. I have to say I hadn't heard a lot of their stuff (minus their new album which I bought a few weeks back but only have given limited listen to) but they impressed me a lot. The song "Drones" is fucking amazing live. They played for almost a hour.

Last up was Thursday. I have to say hands down they put on of the best performances I have seen in quite a while. Those guys have such amazing energy on stage and their songs while on CD sound great sounded 100x's better live. They played a lot of songs from Full Collapse, like 2 from their newest record and then a few others.

Plus I picked up a dope picture vinyl copy of Juturna for $15.00

If you have a chance to see any of the last three bands live I highly recommened you do.

Yeah Anthony was pretty fucked up. Their set was great but sometimes the music drowned out his vocals. It was really dope when him and Geoff sang The Great Golden Baby together. The three friends I went with had never heard Circa Survive but they were all digging them.

I'm going to have to buy some more Rise Against albums because I was feeling them a lot. I'm about to break out The Sufferer & The Witness right now and give it a good listen to.

At the end of the show some dumbass called Geoff "just another bitch with a mic" at the front of the stage and Geoff hit the dude like 5 times in the face with the mic. It was funny as fuck.

So, how many times did Tony G tell everyone that he loved them?

I had the last Rise Against album, lost it like a week after I bought it though. Pretty damn good. The radio played an old song of theirs the other day and it was probably the best song ive heard from them. Wont be able to think of the name, but it was basically an anthem song. Effin Kickass.

Anthony is a great frontman...he kept on saying how depressing the weather is in Seattle and how much he loves it being like that lol. I was suprised by how many fans were there for Circa Survive. I even over heard this big hardcore fan that was their for Rise Against saying he doesn't usually like that "type" of rock but he though they were great.

I swear like 75% of Rise Against songs are anthems or have some part of the song everyone can sing a long to. They put on one hell of a show.

Well for any of you that care, my thoughts and experiences at the show last night:

-Billy/Bobby/Davie/Davis what ever the fuck they were called were pretty much completely lame. Their were a ton of 12 year old girls going crazy for them though.

-Circa Survive was of course awesome, however their style of music just doesn't get a crowd goin. I was loving every minute of it, but standing out like a soar thumb cause I was actually getting in to it wrather than just standing there. They also only played for 25 minutes. WTF? Awesome shit though, I'm definitely going the next time they're in town.

-Thursday, can't remember much seeing as to how I damn near had a seizure from their whole light show. I so badly wanted to get in to them last night but couldn't at all. Their style of music is just lame IMO. So after a few minutes I went to the back and stood in the beer line for a good 20 minutes.

-Rise Against finished, but I was totally disappointed in the fact that they did not play one single song off their first album. I can't stand when bands do that especially when they only have like 3 albums out and they played for an hour. It was pretty cool though, I started the show almost in the front but got tired of swaying back and forth uncontrollably. So I went back to the circle pit for the rest of the show. It was a pretty cool one, I was surprised to see that almost everyone in there had a green wrist band on (over 21). I hate trying to smash on little kids.

Oh then the fun starts. I come out to find that my car had been towed. Yeah it was in a Wendy's parking lot and apparently you're not supposed to park in there but I didn't know that, and either did the employees at Wendy's, nor the other 20 people that got their car towed. It was 200 to get it out that night, but I didn't have that much, plus they only were taking cash. So I just went to the impound and stood outside for 2 hours when all I wanted was my fucking jacket. Anyway got the jacket, got picked up, went back there this morning.

2 tix to show: $70
5 drinks: $27
Gas to get there and back: $20
Getting car out of impound: $210

total: $327 - To see a show that only had one band I really wanted to see. Definitely going down as one of my worst concert experiences. DAMN!!!

Wow what an amazing concert. Nuttkase are they coming to California at all?

I too have been listening to Rise Against, the song "Ready to Fall" is one of my favorites. Man I can't believe you got to see all three of them!

Check out their myspace page. It doesn't appear they will be coming to Cali anytime soon.

I wasn't really refering to Rise Against, rather the trio of this concert. In fact Rise Against is my least favorite out of the 3. Thursday and Circa Survive are two of my favorite bands.

Yeah doesn't look like they are going through Cali. Nitro (maybe all ready did?)

I really can't fathom how you can't get into Thursday Palmer. But hey different strokes for different folks. I thought they put on the best show of the four bands here in Seattle. While Circa was amazing like you said it's not really music to dance around or get wild to. I think they would be a lot better in a Paramount type venue where you can just chill and enjoy the show.

Rise Against impressed me a lot and while I liked them prior they really made me a fan with their performance.

Damn sorry to hear about the rest of your night bro. Did the breezy atleast throw in some money and/or pussy for the trouble?

They just released their new ablum called A City by the Light Divided in April or May of this year. It's a good album IMO but no where near as great as both Full Collapse and War All the Time are. It's still worth picking up though IMO.

Should be seeing Thursday towards the end of Jan, glad to hear they played alot of stuff from full collapse, wasn't feeling their latest too much..It's going to be them, Murder by Death and Fear Before the March of Flames, both of which I've never listened to but will check out... Did they perform Steps Ascend by any chance?..

Yeah they played Steps Ascend...amazing fucking song. I like both Murder by Death and Fear Before... as well. With that being said those three bands couldn't be any much different from each other in style, should be an interesting show lol. I just saw Fear Before... with Norma Jean and Between the Buried and Me like a week after the show that I made this thread about. All three bands were amazing live...BTBAM was the best though.
