That movie was the shit... I threw away my original dvd copy to get the new Special Edition.
There's nothing like realizing for the first time, that you for some reason have the same disease that he does. You remember what he remembers and understand what he understands. Fuckin' amazing. But can someone tell me this..? In the last scene (which cronologically should be the beginning of the movie, where he's laying in bed with his wife (maybe it's a dream sequence, I dunno) he already has all the tattoos on 'em before she's even dead...
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Seems like he made the whole thing up, and she just left him because he's a fuckin' psycho.

ok...here's what I got....
- His wife did die, he killed her with the insulin, she didn't die from the rape...
- Sammy Jankis was faking...
- He confused his life with Sammy's
- Close to the end of the movie, when it shows Sammy sitting in the chair in the hospital an orderly walks by and it flashes to Leonard...it was really him...
- If you look closely at the tattoos, when he's there with his wife, one of the tattoos says "I did it"
- Teddy really was a cop, but he was using Leonard to kill bad guys, and more importantly the drug dealer to get the 50 g's in the trunk...
My favorite scene in the movie, is when him and girl get into the fight in the house, and she took all the pens from off the desk, so he couldn't write anything down...
On the special edition DVD...on the second disc...if you select the clock, and answer "C" to every answer, and then put the changing tire sequence in reverse order...YOU CAN WATCH THE MOVIE IN REVERSE ORDER (CORRECT ORDER) and it's even trippier, cause it shows how detailed of a movie it was....

Supposedly there's some trick on the internet that will tell you how to do somethin on the DVD and it will put all the sequences in order for you
If you didn't like the movie you might wanna try something more "simple" lol...like "Extreme Ops" or "The Fast And The Furious"

Ok...people's watch the movie again...time and time again, he remembers little facts, that he should have forgotten...
Sammy should be able to make new memories...i.e Leonard should be able to make new memories...it's all mental, there is nothing wrong with Leonard (Sammy) he blended their lives together...
while watching the movie backwards you miss minor details...while watching it forwards, you realize he is remembering things that happened a 1/2 up to an hour ago...it's all in his head...
