its the best thing ive ever used. it takes a little more work to get good sound quality than traditional hardware but with work you can meet and even exceed pretty much any hardware device out there hands down. i used it for about 4 or 5 years and i will get back to it when i master my new toy.

you know how to purge things from memory? i have a project with 3 songs on it. theres only one sample and its a 20 second loop but when i go to resample (mixdown) it says memory is full. i started a new project and was able to record samples fine. whats clogging up my memory???

yeah i got the update. im really hoping future updates allow automation on the audio tracs. thats kinda lame. i really dont have too many gripes as of yet, just that the assholes at roland didnt include enough ram to mixdown a song thats only 3 minutes and 45 seconds. ridiculous. good thing ram is cheap. you can get the same one roland sells for 270 off ebay for 1.85 plus 10 bucks shipping.

the drums sound good now that ive gotten comfy with the fx system but they still lack in quantity. ive been sampling a lot of my favorite drum sounds from reason. does the job for me. i just wish there was a way to get some synth patches, they have too many pianos and organs and bullshit that all sound similar, id rather have more synth sounds but i understand roland has to cater to the base that is buying this thing for live gigging. they could have added more synth sounds though, 70+ acoustic pianos is a little overboard. most of them sound the same or similar.

i wouldnt fuck with that arx bullshit until they come out with some synth shit. all they have now is drums and eps. for 500 bucks a piece? i think ill get a motif es rack for that price, fuck a drum module. especially for 500. drums you can sample for days and put practically no dent in your ram. what happens when you drop 500 on that arx board and the drums are exactly what you could have sampled into the machine? let me know how it works out for you though, maybe im wrong, but im waiting til some more boards come out. remember theres only 2 expansion slots for arx so youll have to use them wisely.

500 just seemed a lot to me to what essentially boils down to a drum module. those sounds better be fuckin hot for 500 bucks. im talkin woofers better be meltin right out of their enclosures lol.
