$hit's tight and that's how it should be done if your going to be using real string acoustic instruments. But that takes $$$$$$$$. As far as the beat itself goes, it was cool I guess for what it was, but a little too dramatic for my taste. I would like to see a video like this, but with Dre making some of his classic beats.

This is exactly why I call myself a "BeatMaker" and not a producer. Peep the sig!

True True, then again if your a beat maker your still "producing" music or sound. Their both just terms, except of course "Producer" is the more accepted proper term. I say the hell with it, if your making music, you should just call yourself a Producer as well, along with Beatmaker. Use whichever one suits your needs most or if your a bit shy and want to be on the downlow just call yourself a Beatmaker. No one should tell you what you are, music is music and it shouldn't matter much what tools you used. What Just Blaze has is MONEY$$$, that's a big reason why he can do the things he does, just as in this video. I mean if you listen to the video, he even saids he works with musicians because he doesn't play himself, so does that still qualify him as a producer? I think so though because people just go about different ways to get their sounds and no matter what method you used it shouldn't matter, only the end result should matter.

Yeh let's not get into the whole beatmaker/producer shit again!lol

Theres probably a million threads debating this already.

Anyhow, Just Blaze is a monster! Even tho he samples and doesn't play, the whole shit is coming from that mans brain!
The end product is original and dope. I hope to have a fraction of that mans success.

BOOBOO619, do yourself a favor (actually this goes for anyone who doesn't get it) and get a good understanding of what a producer really does. Then you'll know the difference between a "producer" and a "beat maker", and won't be confused about it anymore.

Just search for posts on the topic, the answers are all here.

You know what, think what you want to think. To me there's no fucking difference, their both just terms. To me it sounds like your trying to identify the word "producer" with people who only make money off the shit they make. Hell nah, there's a lot of people out there that make music and don't make money off their shit because they don't have the connections or they do it just as a hobby and too me their still producers or beatmakers, whichever term you want to use. It's just a fucking term. Anyways, I wasn't trying to downgrade Just Blazes status or anything, just saying in general, that if your making music your still "producing" sound, and if it's up to you, you can call yourself a producer or beatmaker, whichever one you feel the most comfortable with. Fuck that shit homie, never downgrade yourself, your giving the word Producer too much credit. I think your getting it confused with Mix Engineer.

uh, not really bro, if he's sampling, that's coming from someone elses brain. Someone already thought about that sound before he did. It'll be nice if more producers actually hit the keys themselves, I give those the most credit because that takes the most skill and is the most original.

Im talkin about the whole construction of the new song, yes it contains samples, but he's making a new track with old samples. Most of the sounds in your keyboard were constructed by "somebody elses brain" so if you want to be all techinical, you're sampling as well. Go buy your own drum kit and play them shits instead of pounding on your mpc!

Check some of his early Rocafella stuff, he did (both) sample and keyboard composition tracks.

True true, but I'm talking more along the lines of sampling melodies, not single shot samples.
