Johnny Depp tipped a waiter in Chicago $4,000
Actor Johnny Depp reportedly stunned a waiter in Chicago after leaving a $4,000 tip following a late-night dinner.

Digitalspy reports that the 'Public Enemies' star had been dining at Gibsons steakhouse with friends, including co-star Marion Cotillard and director Michael Mann, following the movie's premiere.

Speaking to RadarOnline, waiter Mohammed Sekhani said: "He may be one of the most famous actors in the world but he is a very humble guy and a really cool dude.

"Obviously, I was delighted with his tip but he has always been very generous every time that he has visited us here at Gibsons."

Sekhani went on to say that Depp, who arrived at the restaurant at around 11.30pm, had ordered "some $500 bottles of Italian wine" and a range of appetizers for his guests before leaving at 2.30am.

"He is a very soft spoken guy who is very charming and sweet - when I wait for him he doesn't like to be too fussed over and is not in any way demanding."

Tim Burton is highly overrated. But with that being said I still do enjoy quite a few of his films.

You didn't like Pee-wee's Big Adventure or Beetle Juice? What the hell is wrong with you man? lol

Besides those I like Ed Wood, Mars Attacks!, and Big Fish.
He did pee wees big adventure??? seriously??? lol wow. I had no idea.

Beetlejuice is actually not bad. I forgot about that one.

I completely disagree. Because for this to be true he must first be rated really high, which is not exactly his position. He is not in high demand, so to speak. He, for the most part, does a certain classification of films, that being the dark/gothic imaginative type; he is called upon (or does himself) for that and returns with quality material. To make my point, he has been nominated for 1 Oscar throughout his career (for an animated film) and one Golden Globe which was fairly recent, losing out on both occasions. So he is hardly rated high at all. He has more of a cult-like following, which is why there are so many people that either love him or hate him.

Batman
Beetle Juice
Pee-wee's Big Adventure
Edward Scissorhands
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Big Fish
Planet of the Apes
Corpse Bride
Sleepy Hollow
Mars Attacks!
Ed Wood

Not a fan of all his movies but those are his most popular and many of them are hits. Not to mention he writes some of his movies as well. Planet Of The Apes is a movie he should not have done. Certainly the one that doesn't belong. I think movies like Edward Scissorhands and Beetle Juice are pure genius, but that is just my opinion.

he went on record a few times saying he didn't want to do the Planet of the Apes film because he knew they'd want multiple films out of it, and that didn't fit his filming preferences.

Another reason the movie wasn't good was because he lacked full control over its direction. Exec's were always on point to note if he had gone against the script or tried modifying the set or character design.

Sweeney Todd? Batman Returns? I didn't list Nightmare Before Christmas because I only included movies he directed- he wrote and produced Nightmare but he let someone else direct it. I still should have included it though. What other movie could it be.. I haven't seen it otherwise.
