...about Tech's signature "bark". Something I was thinking yesterday.
Sometimes the "jeah" fits beautifully. On more staccato tracks, more "hardcore" anthemic tracks, etc. it can blend together with the music and lyrics to the point that you can't even tell it's there, but you'd know it was gone if it wasn't there.
BUT...
sometimes that shit an be distracting as hell. Case in point: Crybaby. One of the dopest songs on the entire 2-discs of Killer and occasionally all I can find myself thinking is "dammit, the 'jeah' in this song is just ruining shit". Unless I tune it out it can be borderline annoying in some songs.
Then when I wathed the I'll Pass video on another message board where someone had posted it I noticed how "clean" it sounded without the "jeah" (this was right after listening to and getting annoyed by it on Crybaby).
In sum. Tech...stop it. Or use sparingly. Thanksthat'llbeall.
