Those who choose to sleep could learn alot from this cat. All his albums have jewels embedded in em'. Everybody acts like they're the rap police, taking personal offense to what this nigga does, or how he covered a Pac song. That criticism is lame and baseless, in my opinion.

The Bay ain't on top right now because most of the shit coming out is garbage. The last album to come out of the bay that was worth my bread was E-40s last one. believe me i tried, i always do. i just cant get into nas or jay z. i read these posts and listen to what my brother and other people is sayin and i just dont get it. when i listen to either of them they both sound weak to me. nas sounds terrible. jay z's voice is a lil better to me. but i wouldn't spend 5 dollars on either of these cats cd's if it was on a super sale. i'd go spend my money in the used section and get 18wit a bullet, or spice 1's 187 he wrote (thats actually what i did). its my opinion and i dont see it changin. i aint hatin either nigs. i tried listening to both of these fools and its almost unbearable listening to nas and jay z is unimpressive. does anyone else feel this way. cuz i feel like i'm the only one in the world.

I used to feel that way man. I have always like Jay-Z and Nas though. But as far as east coast music goes I couldn't really dig it you know. But once I got into making music I learned something. You can't cut your self off from the "Other Coast" because you will miss out on some good music. Hip hop started over there and if you deny east coast music you are shorting your self. But don't use Jay and Nas as the end all be all of New York rap. Go pick up a Kool G Rap album or Rakim and give it a listen.
