Good news Raider Nation: This is why you don't believe everything you hear!! So what do the haters have to say now?

Cut and pasted:

"JaMarcus Russell does not weigh 300 pounds and he has worked out at team headquarters since season's end, two team officials said Tuesday. They were addressing multiple Internet stories about rumors that Russell was pushing three bills and was MIA in Alameda this offseason. "Ridiculous," said a front-office employee, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak on the issue. "JaMarcus is nowhere near that. He's been here. He's been working out. He's in great shape. "That's something everyone's going to see at our first minicamp." That won't be until early May. -- SF Chronicle"

bwhahahahaha you realllly believe this story? after they already have sources saying he has NOT been to headquarters?? this is all a cover up story! why the fuck do you think he is speaking anonymously??? so they can't blame anyone for lying on this report..yet they have actual names on the reports he hasn't been there.

One area of at least minor concern is that so few people have seen him. I’ve talked to a player or three who work out in Alameda, and none of them have seen Russell. They have no idea what kind of shape he is in but are extremely curious to find out.

I talked to someone else in the organization whose business it would be to know Russell’s current level of conditioning, and got nothing but a shrug. Didn’t have a clue.





yet the article tony posted doesn't even say if these people should know?? because it's a fluff piece to discredit what they don't want everyone to know.

yet they were all quick to talk about it when asked why noone has seen him????

believe what you want raider nation!

but think of how quick this info came out AFTER the intial reports that players and personnel spoke on they haven't seen him....and think to yourself.....if players and personel who have been at alemeda practicing/working...first say they haven't seen them....THEN a report comes out not from those same people retracting statement but from someone else....draw your own conclusions.

As for physically: "Don't believe what you read on (the Internet). He's not close to weighing 300 pounds," Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp said by phone Friday.

Russell's oversized frame is within the accepted window of 265 to 275 pounds, according to Knapp, who should know because he's been spending lots of time recently with Russell.

Two weeks ago, Russell voluntarily reported early to Raiders HQ, an effort designed to get his brain "hardwired" on the Raiders' scheme.
