I posted a free download link to Turbotax deluxe a couple of weeks ago in the Open Forum but it was deleted without notice the same night...What happened to the SICC? S--ts changed...threads get deleted and the mods dont even holla at you about it or let you know why it was deleted..thats the least you could do is let someone know they violated a policy or something...
Hopefully I get at least $1,000. we'll see whenever my job decides to mail out the w2's. I think i made like $26,000 before tax and deductions. anybody have a rough guestimation of what i could get? i think i claimed 0

ehhh I dunno man. Maybe theres no quality gyms out east, but theres a ton here. Lots where I am. Good quality too, brand new state of the art shit man. It may be because we have more money and demand for it in my province....I dunno.
And yea man its included in everything we do. When I take a shit and flush the toilet, when I go to the store to rent a movie I am paying for the health care system. Hell, I'm pretty healthy and haven't been to see a doctor since I was a kid....makes me mad sometimes to know how much of my money goes to paying for some idiot immigrant who brings over his old ass father, mother, grandparents and all their cousins from India to live in a 1000 square foot house and take advantage of the system....
I'd gladly pay more taxes if it covered my back some. I'm not mad at immigrants using our healthcare system, that's petty shit. I think people should be entitled to health regardless of their ethnic/income/whatever background. Instead I'm upset about politicians using tax payer money for personal gains, which does happen and happens a lot. In fact, I'd say I would want more things to be socialized, post-secondary education, dental, vision, etc.

Ya it's a small town. It just seems like anything other than a major city (Van, EDM, TO, etc.) is a small town. There is so much land out there and nothing has to be crunched together like southern California.
I remember when I lived out there I was able to stop by this business and make free pb&j sandwiches. They would give out condoms, clean needles, etc. A place to hang out, get free stuff, then go back out on the street. Then there is another place that would open when it was snowing to let homeless people sleep in there, just so they don't die sleeping in the snow. All of these things covered by tax money. It's a good way to keep the streets clean and the jails less full.
If we had something like that here people would just take advantage of it.
