Although I did question 2-0-Sixx's judgement in this thread, I would like to make one thing clear so people don't mistake what I am trying to say, as is so often the case.
It really doesn't matter whether or not Iraqi civilians support the United States. It doesn't matter if 99.9% of them are in support, begging and pleading for us to save them. It doesn't matter because it doesn't change what we are doing there, which is killing humans of all age and gender, leveling cities to throwing rocks, and robbing them of their natural resources. So Iraqi "support" really means nothing because, once their city is next on the list, and after the U.S. has carried out their orders on that city, they won't be waving their thumbs in the air.
