I don't like Elephant Butte that much. It's out in the middle of nowhere desert southern New Mexico. I like fishing spots where there are hella mountains and trees and there are neither there. A lot of people go there, though, mostly to party and shit.......

i used to fish a lot as a kid, but just got back into it in the last few years cuz my fiance's dad is big into fishing and so is she. Just recreational, get outside and enjoy the scenery.

walleye, perch, crappie, blue gill, cat, bass - lots of catch and release

used to trout fish a lot as a kid for rainbows cuz i was so young i didn't need a license or stamps or any of that costly shit.

biggest thing i got was a mahi mahi in florida, don't remember length or weight

It’s fun salmon/trout fishing on lake Michigan. I also like fishing on the Wisconsin river.

IT DEPENDS WHERE YOURE AT... SOME OF THE BAITS THAT WORK FOR BASS, CATFISH, N TROUT MIGHT WORK WHERE YOURE AT, BUT CALIFORNIA SEEMS TO BE THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE WHEN IT COMES TO USING CERTAIN TYPES OF BAITS N LURES FOR CERTAIN SPECIES OF FISH...

^^ I'm in the Bay Area. I usually go fishing in the nearby local lakes. I've used chicken liver as bait for catfish and that seemed to work. So far Powerbait hasn't brought me any luck though, neither did the worms..

Caught a 4 lbs. bass in fremont yesterday. Met some guy yesterday who was dumping shiners and bass into the lake from his aquarium. He gave me a live shiner i fished it for a while til about 9 last night. I ended up leavin a bout 20 feeet of line and tied it to a dock. Went back this morning to peep it. Shit there was 20 lbs. catfish on it. That shit was a big as my daughter. She was kinda spooked.

TO FISH URBAN, OVERFISHED LAKES LIKE CHABOT, TEMESCAL, CONTRA LOMA, LAFAYETTE, AND SAN PABLO, YOU NEED TO USE FINESSE TACTICS, (AT LEAST FOR BASS), SUCH AS SMALL 4-5 INCH PLASTIC WORMS, SMALL 1/4 OZ SPINNERBAITS, TINY CRANKBAITS, ETC... IF YOU WANNA CATCH ALOT OF BASS N TROUT, GO TO SAN PABLO OR LAFAYETTE RESERVOIRS... THERE ARE SOME BIG ASS BUCKETMOUTHS AND RAINBOWS IN SAN PABLO... TRY THE DELTA, TOO... ESPECIALLY RIT NOW, IT MUST BE CRACKIN... ILL BE UP THERE IN TWO WEEKS, SO YOU KNOW IMA HIT THE DELTA... IF YOU WANT A BETTER CATFISH BAIT, TRY TO FIND SOME FRESHWATER CLAMS... I USUALLY FIND EM AROUND THE SANDY BEACH AREA OF SHERMAN ISLAND, ACROSS THE ANTIOCH BRIDGE... AS FOR THE POWER BAIT, TRY FISHIN IT WIT A MEAL WORM OR A HALF OF A NIGHTCRAWLER, THEN DIP IT IN SOME SMELLY JELLY NIGHTCRAWLER SCENT... THAT SHIT WORKS PRETTY GOOD...

damn 2lb blue gill is nice as fuck. ive taken 2 major saltwater fishing trips, one 8 day outta san diego, went and got some wide open albacore fishing. damn big albies too, bout 30-50 lb, then the 10 day trip down and a few miles past a big party town, cant think of name. we were part of a yellowfin tuna fishing season that was the best and most insane season captains have seen in 50 years+. wide open bites, everyone getting hooked up on 150+lb fish, greeaatt time.
