Is 09 gonna the be the year for the West like 08 was supposed to be?

It's because fools in the south are smack dead in the middle of the facade, they see fools with shit they want, so they mimmick, and they aren't at all "Hip Hop" heads, so they honestly really think you can still get discovered and molded (which don't happen anymore, you got to come to the label as a full package), thats why people take the fukced up deals, and its funny, I have a few homies that are on some good labels, majors even, that got locked into shitty deals cause they were so excited about the offer, when they got completely screwed....one thing that fools don't overstand is that if you got a halfway decent record, Sony will sign you and distribute 5,000 of your records and take 50%, just so they can fund the tour bus expense for one of the artist they actually care about...it's all fucked up, and no offense to anyone in the south, but just take a look at them fools happily biting each other and being as cliche as possible, to put some big food on there table for 8-9 months, then they wake up one morning and it's a wrap and back to Costco, and they got nothing to show for anything, but the realisation that those labels did not give a fuck about them.
The West is doing it's thing, I may be from Boston, but I have been out here since 2001. No need to doubt anything, muhfuckas are beast, cause it's so diverse....you have completely different sounds from city to city, and you even got completely different sounds within those citys....there is a niche for everyone, but you just got to find where you snug in...one things that exist heavily in the west though is ego and elitism, everyone things what they got going on is the crack, or that there sub-genre of hip hop is the only shit slumping....not enough open minds..to many chiefs and not enough indians...people don't like to include other people in there situations, including fans......fans don't want to here you say on 15 tracks how hard you are, or how you will tear all the other MC's to shreds in your city....haha...fools make it so that the only people that will enjoy there shit is other MC's...we need a motherfucking UNION of something!
Labels ain't paying out shit anymore....you buy or make your own beats, you either record at their facilities or pay somewhere else. The only way they give you money is if you make them money. The only way you can make money is touring and merchandise, and they will front you money for a tour, but you better be ready to recoup that shit when you get back.
I personally think that doing it because you love the music and to keep Hip Hop Official is the only rewarding thing you can get out of it, there is no steady money in music. you may get a 10,000 check in a day, but you better be able to stretch the motherfukcer out for a few months, or your family is gonna starve and just watch you chase around your tail wondering why you don't got any money!

shit def has changed. Game is flooded with alot of Bullshit.
But there are some good artists out there that should be on top or recognized or given deals, but aint gettin much outta the main stream.
I figure as a fan, I'm tryna to push artists I like as much as possible. There are others here that do the same...
problem is, will the mainstream accept it or play it? I'm talking radios and mtv... really, what is something that they have played lately that has been really good as far as West Coast Gangsta shit? I can think of a couple, but Jay Rock's video comes to mind.
I kinda get tired of hearing the same 10 songs every hour on the radio.
