All the "Islamic" cleansing rituals and dietary guides were used before the time of Prophet Muhammad, because it was for health reasons.
>Pigs are not natural to the desert, and when they are killed and left out in the sun the bacteria that rots in them can cause major illness to those who eat it.
>Cleaning with water and/or dirt actually can get rid of many known bacterias spread by humans and animals.
>Dogs also can spread diseases on their fur.
>Hijab (head covering for women) meant that you were of a noble class, and to be respected.
>Poop can spread disease (Hep. A)
>Not washing the body after sex can cause a yeast infection for both men and women
>Touching someone else's blood can spread disease
Poop, urine, blood, and dogs fur when wet are all considered 'filth' in Islam.
A purification bath is necessary after sex in Islam.
You must wash with water or special soil before praying five times a day in Islam.
Girls must wear a head covering in order to not get unwanted attention as an Islamic rule.
And men must not look at women with lust either. Both not wearing a hijab and looking at a woman with lust are equal 'sins'.
Common sense things, really.
