ITS HARD TO SAY WHAT HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH AND WHAT HASNT BEEN TAMPERED WITH IF ONE CANT READ A BIT OF HEBREW,ARAIMIC LATIN OR GREEK.

BTW, I never throw the whole idea of a superior being (God) out the window, their could and could not be one, my only reason for not worshiping one is that I know humans are un able to grasp the truth, and I wont settle for some false faith. and if their really is a God, I don't believe he cares about every lil detail in our life, and if their is one, he just created the "big bang" and let everything work out on its own (evolution etc...). my personal belief, or lack their of...
i know@blight. you were saying they were the first country to have it as the state religion and what you said is a FACT. no arguement here bro
@snub yes i saw the movie. before i saw the movie i had done some slight reading in the area. i honestly cant say how i feel about the subject. many "things" (paranormal) exist.......many things we cant see.....many things we cant hear. pay attention to what you HEAR while you are falling asleep. i hear some TRIPPED OUT things.
the need to be spiritual is already in us. the thing is most of us never tap into it. we are blinded and our bodies are conditioned for other things.
just think about it. would you be a different person if you corrected your diet,didnt partake in things that would harm your body,didnt subject yourself to outside influences (tv radio,sex etc etc etc) and lived a life of piety will STILL being in the world (no im not talking about being a monk and removing yourself).
my personal way/path is "enlightment" if thats what you want to call it. i have been to the "higher plateu" on several occasions. the things i heard,the things i saw.......unreal. how did i get to that path? through YESHUA MESHIACH. no other way. FAITH will allow you to do things you never done.

HERESY, my point about bringing up that movie was that the church today is insignificant. At the end of the movie they had a copy of the gospel with the EXACT words from jesus, and one of the things he stressed was that the gateway to god is within yourself, which if was true no churches would be needed, and thats why that one priest was trying to kill her from letting that info out. Also it showed how much words get twisted over time. you can find out yourself just by in a room of 10 people tell a story then pass it on, at the end the story will be way different, and thats barring propaganda and personal interests. Of course I don't believe in the whole Jesus christianity thing, but if I was to It wouldn't be based on the establishment we have today...

ok when you say church do you mean the BUILDING,the CAUSE or the BODY OF BELIEVERS? if you meant the third one i would disagree. if your definition of church is the other two i agree.
well he himself stressed that MANY times in the new testament. however you have to TAP INTO IT. what they had on the movie was a copy of the GOSPEL of ST.THOMAS. you can find that online or in a book store. basically its NOT a CHRONICLE or story but a lot of QUOTES that he may or my have said. snub what does the bible say about that? didnt jesus drive the people from the temple because they made a profit off the people? didnt he speak against the "church people" because of the way they treated widows and did things for gain?

Somebody explain the church is out to profit thing for me. I'm mormon, we all pay tithing, the church owns stock, tons of buildings, etc. But nobody's paid. I know our stake president (in charge of about a dozen churches) and he lives poor, his daughter drives a 20 year old pickup. If our church is out for profit, they must be screwin' it up somewhere.
