Thwe actor who played the jew hunter was the best actor in the whole movie. I say he gets a nod at best supporting actor.
I liked the movie overall.
I was really hoping it would focus on the basterds stomping through france taking scalps.
but what I got was not expected and I liked it. the theater ending was cool because most writer/directors would probably make it opposite than what happened.

coldblooded, your going way out of your way to say this movie sucks. like we all should listen to your opinion because its the only one that matters. your one fag on the siccness who doesnt like this movie. there are probably some like you but the majority of the people who saw this movie liked it. if you dont like it why keep going in a thread about it just to say it sucks and argue with people. spend your time doing something else.
Saw the movie last night.. it wasn't as good as I had hoped but it was plenty good enough. The opening scene was great, I couldn't even blink because I was so drawn to it. That was, unfortunately, the most interesting point of the film. Christoph Waltz did an outstanding job and deserves to be recognized for it, and I believe he is the one who "made" the film worthwhile. I am actually a fan of Brad Pitt and I must say, while at some points I liked the way he portrayed his character (his first scene) there were other parts where I couldn't even watch him (at the premier of the movie "nations pride"). The music didn't bother me but it did nothing to improve the film. I thought the acting was good, and while I do think Pitt is a good actor, it seemed like no one was coaching/directing his parts and they just let him do/say whatever he wanted. Some parts were funny, others had no business being in this movie. Storyline was good and original. Movie could have been better but for big QT fans this is probably a gem. I advise everyone to see this movie!
I saw it a couple of hours ago...it was OK, but not great. My main complaint is that unlike other Tarantino movies, the supposed to be funny parts aren't funny. And although it's not the movie's fault I get annoyed by pretentious viewers that laugh a fucking storm up at anything they kinda 'get' if you know I'm saying. I thought it was kinda slow moving, but at least it didn't feel the full 2 1/2 hours. It's worth watching once.
