Yea last night was cool, It seemed like to me it was one of the better turn outs so far. It seems like every week when I go to this event I meet somebody new to network with, and thats good cause it keeps me busy.
I do have kinda of a suggestion though. I enjoy the panels but I don't like everyone on the panel agreeing with each other. I have a different business philosophy then most, and I think alot of people can say that.

So I think it should be set up to be more of a "Friendly" Debate with the panels, then have the Q&A. But that might be a little Different from what you guys are try to do.

But I had a great time as I always do.

i hear ya jay we are always up for suggestions and thats a good idea we do want to have some nights were people are talking about ways to keep the bay area movement going and definitley get into some debating becuase there are alot of subject matters that need to be spoken about out here in the bay and as this event progresses hopefully conversation like that will take place right on for always comin threw and supportin pz

@lazyeye

my opinion on the panels that i've seen is that they seem to be more of the dudes saying "be original","we from the bay where we should or shouldn't do this","people from outside the bay are saying this"etc. when IMO, being that some of the cats you guys put up there have alot more knowhow than the rest of the room, the conversation should be "these are the steps you need to take when putting out a cd",or "this is how you go about getting distribution",and "this is how you should market and promote your project".Maybe this is just how I see it,but young bayarea artist lack more business sense(to a certain degree)than anything else.

I feel that. But I think its also up to these artist to actually ask questions. Theres millions of things that could be discussed at length but it depends on what people ask and want to know. I think the panels have been a great addition to this event of "networking," which is the reason the event is taking place. If you younger/newer artist don't feel comfortable asking questions in front of the crowd get at people after and ask them then!! Thats my opinion!!

I agree,and everything I know as a younger/not newer artist I did get from asking and observing.This is a great networking event, I'm not taking anything away from that but I do think it is possible to give/get more out of it.I've taking people out there with me that seem to be a little confused about what it is these events are for,and granted it is up to them to ask Q's,imagine if 10 of those cats left and told 10 other cats about how much game they picked up by simply listening to some cats on a panel-next weeks turn out could be greatly increased which to me is an important factor.Maybe it's just me, and not that it isn't cool,but who wants to network with the same cats hearing the same advice every week.if I'm coming off wrong thats not my intention.

i see what you are sayin and i think rap4rights is right people need to ask more questions if you want to know the steps of making it all u have to do is ask i know sometimes the panel can be a lil repetitive but at the same time if u ask durring the panel or after the panel pretty much everyone can answer any question u have we need more crowd participation we are not doing this for us we are doing it for the people that are trying to learn so plz ask questions pz
