Down these mean streets, by Piri Thomas

It's interesting more than informative. Makes for a good story. It has a lot of street shit to it but I couldn't really relate to it myself.

Other political books that were interesting:

Malcolm X's autobiography as told to Alex Haley
Seize the time, By Bobby Seale
Soul on Ice, By Elridge Cleaver

It's mainly african literature but I found it easier to relate to these books above.

The Art of War, By Sun tzu
The Holy bible

Both of the above books have a lot of knowledge. It isn't even about being religious or liking war, it's about interpreting the knowledge and applying it to everyday life.

And also:

War at Home: Covert Action Against U.S. Activists and What We Can Do About It, By Brian Glick

If you dig reading on what goverment was doing to shut a lot of political organizations down this is for you.

^^GOOD QUESTION

WHILE INCARCERATED I READ QUITE A FEW BOOKS SOME STORYBOOKS WITH NO REAL EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE BUT ALSO OTHERS MORE THOUGHT PROVOKING. A BOOK CALLED "TRUE NOTEBOOKS" WAS DOPE. I COULDNT EVEN PUT IT DOWN HALF THE TIME. ITS ABOUT A WRITING TEACHER AT JUVENILE HALL.....I DONT REMEMBER THE AUTHOR BUT I CAN FIND IT IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED. "PARROT IN THE OVEN" IS ANOTHER GOOD BOOK I WOULD SUGGEST
