in L.A > which bay artist\group do you hear peepz thumping??

I don't really hear anyone bumping any bay area music. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one in LA that listens to bay area music (not counting E-40). But yesterday I was in the computer lab and the guy next to me had on headphones and the CD case for Messy Marv- Turf Politics out. I was like "Damn, maybe I'm not the only one."

tell u the truth....all i hear down here is: ja rule, nelly, wu tang, snoop, dre, jadakiss, fabolous, freestyle fellowship, of mexican decent, e-40, too short...mainly commercial rap and l.a. underground....occasionally ill hear lynch, bo, rbl, celly, b-legit, mosse, x-raided and other foos...but thats hella rare...i always thought i was the only foo in l.a. that religiously bumped bay area shit....i still think im the only foo in l.a. who bumps midwest and south underground shit....
i gotta disagree with you fellas,,,of course if you looking at the average moe out in the streets in l.a,he's bumbing ja-rule,eminem,snoop dogg,jay-z basically anything thats on mtv or the radio,its probably the same thing in the bay and everywhere else.....there was a time all you used to hear out here was bay rap bumping on rides and parties like luniz,rbl,celly cell,spice1,c-bo,too short,mc breed,rappin4tay, the list goes on....lets face it the bay hasnt put out something that just grabs you by the nuts,like back in the day...when you used to say damn thats tight...niether has l.a. for that fact not counting the chronic2001.but alot of people i know still bump bay rap..somebody posted here not too long ago, how cbo's new shit sold a grip out here..just the other day i heard some fools bumping x-raided in a cadi on the blvd..
damn what parties u go to?....everyone once in a while ill here "i got five on it" and "my dick, my sack" and the occasional "its goin down" at a party...but thats rare...mc breed is always played but hes from Flint Michigan...so he dont count....but i hardly ever hear anyone bumpin bay shit....ill talk to cholos about hip hop and all they bump is lil rob, shadow, knightowl, lil one and them....then i talk to black guys around here and all they bump is jay-z and commercial east coast shit like that....some of my cousins black homies know about that bay shit...but thats only a few of em...i dont know 10 people personally who bump bay shit here in l.a.
A lot of the people I talk to, black and mexican and white, all know about the old bay shit. They all know about RBL- Bammer Weed and all of that old classic shit. But anything recent no one knows about ever since rap went commercial.
But there are fools down here that buy that shit. I go to a lot of the same music stores every week or every other week and I always see used bay shit that I would be buying if I didn't already own it. Then I go back in a week or two and all of the bay shit I saw is all gone. So there are some undercover muthaphukkas out there. But more than likely the people swooping that shit up are on here like me.
But there are fools down here that buy that shit. i was hella surprised when i heard some peeps in venice bumping 3xkrazy. they were playing ball and had the boom box turned up loud with the "stackin chips" album in it.
i actually thought that it's just like all y'all say it is... the said thing is that they don't bump their local street underground either because, as vamps mentioned some time ago, LA doesn't really have a big underground scene like the bay. everybody's either major or nonexistent.
but don't even complain, all you LA peeps! you're still better off than me cause i'm in a place where maybe 20 peeps in the whole country know about the bay (but this nuumber's growing...).
