For those that dont know bout me...Im in my mid-20's with a wife and 2 kids.
I have a nice career goin but, I still hustla on the side.
Yeaterday, I had a serious convo with my wife about gettin locked up for 10 years.....
I asked her if i got locked up for 10 years would she wait for me??
It turned out to be an all day discussion.....with no end result.
Personally, i dont know what i would want her to do.

My question to MAINLY OLDER (21+) Cats and Husbands is....
If you got locked up for 10 years and you had kids with a wife or girlfriend>>>>
Would you want her to wait for you??
What I mean by "wait" is>>after you got out, you both would try to resume a normal life together.

There are a TON of factors that you have to consider in the question.....
-the KIDS
-stepdads>>>with the possibilty of them harmim your wife(GF) and children
-your wife's(GF) needs
-etc.



I hope I made myself clear about what Im asking, but if you have any questions let me know.
And you have some real input, then speak on it, but keep that 10th grade mentality off of here.

i really wouldnt expect her too, it wouldbe nice but you have to think of alll the things you would be taking away from her for your fuck up. the kids still need a male role model if you cant be there she has to look somewhere else and she still needs someone there for her to comfort her or whatever. i think its selfish to get locked up for doing wrong and expect those who arent locked up to try and wait for you instead of moving on with their lives.

it's kinda simple for me.thats my wife i expect her to be down for me especially while i'm going through hard times.you need sumbody in your corner when your locked up.also having kids thats the ones you need to think about.getting out should be a motivater to keep your head up to see your kids again.i mean i would want my wife and kids to see me in prison beside getting phone calls and letters you need that time out during visits to escape and think toward the future.prison would be hell without no one thinking of you on the outside.

my brother was there once.we would visit him in chino y.a. and prison.i spent all the chances of seeing him everyweekend we had possible/available for us to visit him.we would cook home food for him and bring it there and have lunch together in y.a. he would call we'd talk.i'd write letters to him during class while i was in jr. high and highschool,send him pictures,music.if he needed sumthing for his packages we would go out and i'd make sure he got everything on his list.we had to be there for him in anyway possible.

i mention this alot.he would tell us sum inmates did'nt have family that was down for them.no packages no visits.thats living hell for you- you feel me?

so it's important to have sumone there for you when your locked up.

we were there when he was locked up.he also spent the rest of his time in another prison ironwood state pen out in the desert.when he was there he said for us not to visit him because it was too far.it was cool for him then he did'nt mind.

his time was up and he came back home.stayed out of trouble till his parole was up.at least he did'nt get caught for nothing feel me.he's working now.spending his free time working on his car and just living life with us and we're all there for eachother.

it was hard but we made it through as a family.so having your family there for you is very important when doing time and when you get out as well.you need support.

(i forgot if your married you can have conjicle visits<--- spelling in prison)

d locc, i am in 9th grade but here is my decision if i was 21+ and i was gunna get lock up for 10 years...



I would hope she wait and I would have my friends look and take care of her, if she wanted to go with someone else i wouldn't blame her, who would want a man in jail for 10 years tryin to raise kids by herself? If she ended up with another man...i would like to see the kids when i get out and be able to take care of them.... this is my decision...

I know several ex-cons, who have been put away for very long stretches their advice, "ditch your broad". She basically will mess with your head and make you think of the outside, they said time becomes easier when you don't have a broad and shit fucks with your head.

My best friend is in his 5th year of a 10 year stretch. He had a kid with his girlfriend of 8 years and caught a case not long after. He decided to marry the bitch......and where is she now? She probably just left your house after gettin' her joints ran. She's a little ho now. They tried to make it work......but in reality.......they both knew it probably wouldn't.

Everybody has needs......and if you're not there to fulfill them.....they WILL BE fulfilled by somebody else. Deal with it......we're all human.
