I feel it is a solid industry that should be free to go about their business. It is a humans choice to smoke or not. Addiction is not real to me. I have never gotten addicted to anything. Ive tried almost every drug too.

People are realizing health effects that smoke has on humans. They are wise to quit, but not to attack companies, especially those which were here since the jump. These tobacco companies make products just as safe as motorcycles, meybe even safer. You know?

It is important to keep the smoking propoganda away from kids, but it is not fair to attack companies over an adults so called addiction or dumb mistakes.

Blight.......

Dont leave out an important FACT....

when the Tobacco Companies first came to power they promoted cigarettes as SAFE PRODUCTS when they knew that shit was harmful.
The public was never informed of the harmfull effects of smokin...thats why a gang of old ass people have won million dollar law suits against the Tobacco Companies.
they with held important info that the consumer should have had.

now in this day in age....the information is out there, smokin is harmful, but bacc in the old days it wasnt.

True true, the way we have surgeon general warnings.

But for a quick fact, i smoked a ciggarette at 6am the other day. I just felt like it. It was my choice even tho i may smoke 2 cigs a year im not in the same boat as others, but they do also choose to smoke. Like Kyle said.

@ D-Locc60, you know that girl in the bottom right of your sig?

What D-Locc said....not to mention that tobacco companies claimed that nicotine is not addictive, but the fact is they were chemically enhancing nicotine for the sole purpose of making it MORE addictive. I think thats a damn good reason to attack them. I also think its fucked up that before laws were passed that regulated tobacco advertising, their advertisements targeted kids. And I think those "Truth" commercials are very good....I know a bunch of people who have quit smoking just because of those commercials. Right now this country is seeing its first decline in teen smoking ever and the reason for it is because of all the anti-tobacco shit. I say its a good thing.

I disagree about addiction.

Mind power is a great tool. Im sure it even has capabilities of being a weapon one day. I harness my mind very well. Addiction is not real to the mind. You may develop a habit of doing a drug after a certain activity. This is enjoyable yes, because of the chemical reation on the body. However it is only in the mind that you think you need one. It is up to you to know that it is not required. Before you did it, you had no craving. Imagine it if you cant control a part of your brain. Live it. ADDICTION IS NOT REAL.

I think its bullshit that the government tries to stop people smoking and attack tobacco companies, while collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes from the sale of cigs. It is a major conflict of interest. Just another example of how crooked the government really is.

I agree that addiction is very real. I know someone who has been smoking for over 25 years and can't quit. She has tried numerous times, but is not able. Like Deep Thought said, you are an exception.

It is important to keep the smoking propoganda away from kids, but it is not fair to attack companies over an adults so called addiction or dumb mistakes.
True, I do agree you shouldn't attack tobacco companies if an adult decides he wants to one day start smoking...they should know the risks. But I would like to point out that most adult smokers began at an early age, usually in their teens.

ADDICTION IS NOT REAL.
Blight......you cant be serious.

There are millions of americans who can PROVE you wrong.
There are millions who DOCTORS that can prove you wrong.

The mind is powerful yes....

but you cant break down "Addiction" as simply as a
MIND CONTROL ISSUE.

not that simple Blight.

"ADDICTION IS NOT REAL." Tell that to someone addicted to heroin or crack. U are entitled to your opinion, but don't belittle the struggle of those who have dealt w/ it.

They cab proove me wrong because its so easy to keep doing it.

If they only had more mind power........... Addiction is an excuse, not that im picking on people for choices, or things that can seem overwhealming, but im sorry, if one MIND can do it, ANY MIND can. We all have minds of a human in or skulls right?
