Raw was one of my favorite releases last year. As long as you dont go into the album expecting a specific sound, you should highly enjoy it. Hop shows a good amount of diversity in what he does.

I tried giving Raw a few spins and dude suffers from the same problem Tech N9ne does. Both can spit and have some clever lyrics, both are pretty diverse, both pick awful beats, have shitty choruses and have overall really boring albums. Like are there good songs on Raw? Yeah. Do any of them make you want to listen to them again? Not really in my opinion. "Nocturnal Rainbows" has some replay value for me though and it was the only song I kept. Hopsin's homie Swizz or whatever didn't help much either. That dude is just awful.

It's cool the guy self produced the album on his own but I think he could be a lot better with other, more talented producers.

imo i thought raw was lightweight weak and overrated on here. i listened to it two times thru when it first came out to see what the noise was about. hospin tries to sound like eminem did on marshall mathers ep and slim shady ep.
