anyone remember that case last year, in or around the Boston area, where that drunk, white Harvard graduate stabbed the latino kid to death outside of a bar? the kid got 6 years for voluntary manslaughter, but the whole case was twisted around how the latino kid was "on probation", had a 12 pack of beer on him, and his cousin, who was with him, was a gang member? they brought up all this crap that they think is tied to ethnicity, yet they didnt even care that the white kid had a FUCKING KNIFE on him. it's as if they made it seem as if society is better off because the victim was a nobody anyway.
what im saying is, is that society too often relates things like murder to ethnicity, like "oh, theyre black, of course theyre gonna do drive bys" and too often misses other things that are relevant.
