Ron Ron, Petey, and Boomie, were the only ones i was feelin. just my opinion, never heard none of there shit except ron ron and even his shit i've barely listened to. None of them are good enough to pick up the torch and keep running with it, ron ron seems to be the only one that seems to have quality production.

Ron Ron is better than pretty much every rapper in Kansas City right now.
Popper is way past his prime.

I agree you could have posted better tracks too.

Here are some artists in KC who are making noise right now outside of Strange:
Ron Ron

i think hes trying to sound like eminem on this one. I wonder where he got the idea for his cover:cheeky: good song tho

I wasnt aware that there was a "prime" in the music industry. Age effects writing lyrics and rapping them?

If there is a such a "prime" why are there bands from the 70's STILL touring and making music and selling out HUGE venues with tickets $100 a pop? Wouldn't Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, and The Eagles be past their prime, seeing as they are 60 years old?

In the rap community how many 35+ year olds aren't gonna catch a break. The prime age of talent being signed to the mainsteam is 18-25. If your 30+ and haven't created a huge fan base for yourself already the industry isn't going to waste money on you because you must not have been trying to hard in the first place. A great artists can build a fan base and rise to the top with hard work. That's how Tech did it.... and Tech is an old rapper.

I agree with all of this. But what rapper that you have named can achieve any of these things? Honestly?

The topic of this thread is who can be labeled as Prince of Kansas City... I listed youthful talent. It wasn't a debate over who will be signed to a major label. Out of all the artists I listed there were two posts. The first of youthful talent that has a buzz around them in the city already, and the second post was on talent that never capitalized on their buzz when they had a chance and are now looked at as the OG rappers.

I yawn at most of this young talent, dude. Sorry.
It is the only young talent in Kansas City. So I'm still relevant to the topic at hand. Strange artists = major label artists therefore I'm not counting any of them in my argument. They have money for quality beats, studio time, production, promotion, and touring. No one else in the city has that.

The young talent, IMO, hasnt proved enough to be labeled anything KC. Also one of the OG's you posted is dead.

Maybe we should figure out the criteria of the "prince" is then decide?

If you read my post you would have seen where I said if Fat Tone were still alive he would be the Prince... guess you paid attention.

I gotta go to class so I'll be back in a few hours to continue arguing with you out of town people criticizing the young talent that KC has as you continuously bicker over my choices without listing any names of people you think that are better. The only thing Ant said was Popper has better songs than the thread starter posted and then went to talking shit on the remainder of posts in this thread because there are no good rappers where you live in Springfield, MO.
