In Salinas if you go out like that and you DON'T want to get hit up you better be within the LP, Parkside, or Cortez apartment complexes. You would probably be alright on Williams road on sunday or inside the mall where they have a police sub-station and cameras everywhere.

Walk down North Main, or anywhere on the North side for that matter, anywhere on the west side, or the south-central side expect to get hit up on-sight and they probably won't give a fuck what you say, banging or not, you'll most likely get beat, stabbed or shot and left for dead.
