I haven't been making much hiphop lately. Mainly Electronical stuff. I'm a big fan of House and Trance music also. Or "Techno" to your average person.

I personally don't really dig Reason because it don't have VST plugin support, but I mean it really ain't bad at all. Just as with any DAW, Reason is fully capable of making good music.
I use FL, shit is hella easy to use and just very straight forward. But that's my opinion. It's ease of use, translates to me making what I hear in my head or just making anything on the fly.
As far as viruses go, I never had one. Sure a stupid spyware here and there, but who doesn't get that shit from surfing random ass websites. Bottomline, if your really serious about making music on any computer, you shouldn't have it connected to the internet to surf, download porn and other shit. In that regard, I don't give a fuck, I use my computer for everything, but I still never had a virus and I'm on windowsXP.
BTW, that MIKO is cool as fuck. But essentially it's the same $hit as a computer, except everything is just integrated for you. Definitely a sick TOOL, but certainly a fad of an item. It's "cool" to have a MIKO now, just as it was cool to have a MPC back in the day. Society & Hiphop told you to buy a MIKO and maybe even Timbaland through a video testimonial. haha Not trying to clown because it's a nice piece of gear at this moment in time, but I think I'm right about it being a fad. I don't know, I think I would rather just build a sick computer setup, if I wanted to spend that much money.
