AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!
(I paid for my concert ticket, but never made it in because I was listening to the album in the bus with Tech)

Let me first say this:

I'd like to show my sincerest appreciation to Tech N9ne and Travis O'Guinn being gracious enough to kick it with them and giving me an advance listen to Killer.

I get a phone call at about 5 from Ant and rmiller telling me that Tech wants to kick it with me and let me listen to Killer. I'm like "I bet", but AJ is serious and I start trippin' balls. I meet up with AJ, rmiller, and Fastfitzy and they're having fun making me feel uncomfortable and shit (thanks, guys).

We hang out for a grip until AJ spots Tech hopping out his lady's car and runs over there. At this point I still have doubts about them saying Tech wanted to holler at me, but sure enough AJ calls me over and Tech introduces himself. We smash on a little mix-up that took place online and we headed toward the bus. I hop on the bus at nearly 7 and we(me & rmiller) hang with Tech until 9:25. The whole time we listened to Killer. I'm not talking about like three or fours songs over and over, I'm talking about all the shit you guys haven't heard minus a couple tracks. Now, it's my job to describe the new cd to you, which is what I'm about to get into.

Where to begin:

Psycho Bitch II:

Tech said it best "You can't do a sequel song because they're corny, unless you come correct." Let me say this, if the Halloween beat got you amped up the first time you heard "Psycho Bitches", the new beat used is going to blow your mind. I was having a hard time keeping still in the bus! It sounds similar to the original track, but it takes the original theme and flips it on some "CRAZY EXTRA-PSYCHO FUCK YOU" shit. And the opening voicemail call is fucking hilarious! This song is going to make you move! Liquid Assassin destroys his verse! It's fucking sick! I'm glad you gave him the push, Tech. It works perfectly.

Get the Fuck Outta Here:

This song's title fits to a T. The Popper comes correct on a slower flow dragging his point out over his bars. That's the first time I've heard his music, but I'll be looking it up soon. Paul Wall's verse is a step above and beyond what he's been spitting recently. His flow is undeniable, and his verses on this track are what made him famous(pun intended). Every line by Tech is perfect. His flow is correct, wacky, and powerful.

7 words:

LMFAO Tech! This song is fucking insane! The 7 words on this track are great! I got the same feeling from this track as I did "Worst Enemy". That's all I'm going to say.

Pillow Talkin':

This track is straight comedy! I loved Scarface's lines. His flow fits perfectly with the beat.

Hope for A Higher Power:

Tech went off into a dark place in his mind. That's apparent just by the addition of that Jim Jones speech at the beginning of the track. He thinks deeply into religion and looks at it from an outsider's standpoint. There aren't too many people that can leave themselves out of religion to properly analyze it. This is a stand out track on the album.

One Good Time:

This kind of track is why I buy Tech N9ne albums. It was such a deeply emotional track that I eventually closed my eyes and tried to "see" the words. It meant a lot to me that he played this song. It's very powerful, and I'd say it's more personal than "This Ring". I really liked this track.

Holier Than Thou:

Man, the Strange Lane Choir came correct on this song. Their melodic voices gave the track a deeply haunting feel.

Last Words:

"FUCK YOU"

Poisonous:

Tech, you shoulda kept playing this song man! It was crazy. Liz' vocals bring a rich, smooth melody to the song. Her voice carries with it a very trance-like tone. It could easily be one of my favorite tracks that Tech has ever made simply because it goes farther out into the world of music. It's a completely different sound than anything I've heard from him.

Now, I listened all but four or five songs on the cd, but I'm not gonna put out there every track I heard because I'm actually having a hard time remembering. I'm sure after I get some sleep I'll be able to give you a written sample of the other songs on the cd.

Oh, and the $27 was for the ticket, but I missed Paul Wall and Ill Bill. I like both of them as artists, but I made the right choice by skipping out on them this time around.

how was the shawnna track?
Let me tell you a little about the Shawnna track.

I'd say they both switch their flow up two or three goods times on this track. It's like this: Tech/Shawnna/Tech sequence-wise.

Tech hits hard with some of his fastest flows. Shawnna will BLOW YOU AWAY. She comes hard from the beginning to the end. It was an amazing track. It almost has this feeling like they were battling each other to see who could flip it more. IT'S FUCKING KILLER!

Travis and I chatted about the board briefly, but Sawyer has a video that he'll post when he gets to it. It has one more special appearance by Strange/Siccness most hate "sobman". "Let me tell you what sobman looks like.....He looks like a bitch!"

Sawyer's vid has Tech talking deeply about the album and the overall feeling he wanted it to put out. He's a walking God Complex. He wants the attention he DESERVES, but ISN'T GETTING.

Killer gives you the full experience into Tech's life.

I'm serious, y'all. If you don't like this album at all, you're a damned fool. It sounds NOTHING LIKE EVERREADY. With that being said IT SOUNDS NOTHING LIKE ABSOLUTE POWER OR ANGHELLIC.

KILLER IS..............KILLER.

All Killer. No filler, baby.

I came outta that bus with a Killer headache.

HAHA Black Boy "little white boys wanna be like me"

yeah, Brother J and Cube brutalized that track. Cube brought that "fuck you, punk" attitude to his lines. I'd say his attitude and tone were similar to "Go to Church".

I don't really remember if I listened to Happy Ending. There really wasn't any way for me to know what track we were listening to other than the number it held on the cd. I may have listened to it, but I'm not entirely positive. Sawyer was there with me, so he might remember it.

And big ups to Sawyer for getting me to that point where I could get on the bus. Otherwise, I wouldn't have made that connection with Tech.

It was by far the most impressive first listen I've ever heard.

I can tell you that most of the snippets of songs on the sampler have interesting surprises after where the snippets cut off. Kaliko brought his S+ game on his featured tracks.

I Love You But Fuck You is on some seriously personal shit. He explained the track in full detail down to who it was meant to. There's a brief explanation at the end of the track so you don't feel left out. I won't say to whom the song was sung, but it's in normal Tech fashion to call out those that have abused or used him. It's a damn good song.

THE FEATURES ARE ON POINT! None of the features sound lazy. If anything, working with Tech on this album has boosted some of these artists back to where they had been earlier in their careers.....RAW AS FUCK. None of the features sound lazy or forced. They're creative and hard, making it seem as if a collaboration with Tech was MEANT TO HAPPEN.

I can honestly say that the full tracks you've heard fit in well with the way the album is mapped, but they are not the stand out tracks. Those are the tracks you haven't fully heard or heard at all.
